Hello, I have a 1997 Honda cbr900rr I have a 1998-99 cdi box in garage anyone know if it will work? Spent hrs online researching and nothing convincing

Hi, Trevor your 97 CDI and the 98-99 CDI are 2 different part numbers that being said they appear to be plug and play pretty sure you won't hurt anything, however, some systems may not function properly for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. How do you convert r12 to r134 on a Ford Truck?

If there are any leaks in the system, they should be addressed first. The system needs to be recovered of any r-12 and remove the oil and the compressor oil. The accumulator (or receiver/dryer) needs to be replaced. The system needs to have the proper amount of r134 compatable oil added back in. You can measaure what comes out of the compressor and add that amount back in. Then add about one oz. per major component (condenser, evaporator, dryer). Ester oil is good for retro fitting because it is compatable with both oils. There are fittings you can buy (kit?) that screw onto your r-12 ports that allow you to evacuate and recharge it with r134-a. Typically, the new charge amount will be approximately 80 percent of the old charge. IE: if the vehicle held 3.75# of r-12 (x.8) is 3# of r134-a.

How much oil should I have in my front fork('s) on my cbr900rr 1992? I have changed oil- and dust seal's. Just wonder how much oil I should have in...

Thank you for the inquiry.
10w, 120ml
Tip: You can purchase a graduated oil measuring cup at most bike shops. It's a real help for measuring and pouring. Fork oil containers have a see through measuring means on the sides but are messy to pour out of. Handy in the garage for other things as well.

IS THE 1995 HONDA CBR900RR FORKS FIT IN THE 1996, STOCK NUMBERS ARE DIFFERENT

Measure the diameter of the forks and the position of the yokes(clamps that hold the forks)Also fork length. If they are are the same, bolt them on.Best if you have the entire front end with wheels brakes etc as its less work to do.Different part no's is the springs and valves in the forks that are very slightly different.Hope this helps
