My bike bike runs on main tank even on low somtimes shows some missing. I think my reserve tank doesn't work.Any suggestions?

Check the reserve fuel line and the main fuel line to make sure they haven't been switched. I purchased a Suzuki Intruder and was riding all the way to reserve to check the mileage and when I ran out I couldn't start it even though I switched to reserve. Turns out that someone had the tank off to service the air cleaner and had reversed the two fuel lines so the fuel valve was running the bike on the reserve tank tube. so when I switched to the reserve position it was hooked to the taller brass tube in the tank and the gas level was already below it. The tanks just have two brass tubes, one taller than another so gas cannot be sucked below the taller tube when on main and then when switched to reserve it sucks from the shorter tube allowing the remaining gas to be used.

Fuel leek???

reserve is the back-up fuel, for when you have run out. switch it over to the regular flow and it will likely work

Rebuilding 95 fzr600r reserve fuel pipe can anyonr tell me where it goes

Hi, Jj for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day.

Is there a gas reserve in 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

unlikely. IF you run continually with low fuel levels in the tank you run a very real possibility of having to buy new fuel pumps all the time .--Best policy is nothing below 1/4 full is safe.

Caliber 115 giving jerks on running witch like there is no petrol in the bike/ at the time of Fuel on to reserve.

Three possibilities: You are turning the gas valve the wrong way to get to the reserve position, The reserve fuel intake filter is plugged with some trash or condensation has accumulated in the bottom of the gas tank and ( when on reserve ) the gas valve is feeding water instead of gas. Drain the carb and the gas tank to remove any water. Please rate my answer.

Gas will not flow freely enough from tank to carb, keeps running out of gas when tank has gas in it. stop and turn reserve back and forth then gas flows again.

Try loosening the gas cap to see if the tank is venting properly. Gas can't flow from the tank unless air can get in to replace it. If loosening the cap solves the problem then try to clear the vent in the cap or just get a new cap.

How find out reserv or main at petrol tank

Do you have a petcock on the bottom of the gas tank? If so, if you have a "reserve" the petcock will have three positions, off, regular and reserve. If you only have a two position petcock you have no reserve function. Petcocks work by taking the gas in the petcock tube higher up in the gas level, once the gas level drop below a certain level on the gas tank pickup tube, the petcock has to be switched to reserve where the tube picks up gas at a lower level. Hope this is not too confusing.

How can I get old fuel out of the reserve tank on '82 Honda Magna 750? I hope to not need to remove tank.

Just disconnect the main fuel hose from the carb rail. Ensure that you have switched the fuel **** to reserve and this will allow the reserve tank to empty. Not all the fuel is going to come out unless you blow air into the fuel tank filler, this will then get a large percentage of the fuel out. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
