It could be, but first take out the battery and have it tested on a battery testing machine. It could be that you have a bad battery, possibly shorted plates inside.

If the battery checks out, then get the alt and reg tested. If they test out good, then you have a wire shorting out somewhere, or a bad ground connection.

Daytona 125 - keeps blowing bulbs and cooking battery...please help!

Check your alternator rectifiers if one or more are short circuited it will be putting out A.C. at a very high voltage which will blow the light globes and not charge the battery

Flat battery

hi , If the battery is flat please follow these instructions: 1 - borrow a charger , charge the battery and start the bike 2- while the bike is running , turn the light on and while the bike revs up notice if the light becomes brighter . 3- if it does , the recharging process is good but your battery is faulty 4- if it does not become brighter the charging magneto may be faulty or the regular may be faulty as well . Depending how old is the battery , the best thing to do is to change it every two years . Let me know how you go .

Battery will not charge

Those batteries are probably dead, you have to charge them every so often if you are not using your scooter or chair. You also have to move it so the tires don't wear down and go flat.

07 675 just had voltage regulator replaced and I rode it twice. Now it just clicks and will not start

What about the rectifier? Did you haved it checked? Was your bttery fully charged when you started the first of the two rides?

If this were my Daytona, I think I'd be talking to the mechanic again.

How long does it take to charge batteries?

depending on the type of battery and charger the time usually takes from 6 to 12 hrs. for a full charge. Shorter charging time will result in battery not operating to its full potential
