Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FLHR-FLHRI Road king
After riding normaly for about 40 miles the engine stopt suddenly,
I restarted en drove 10 m and the engine stopt again Impossible to restart again.(When driving all the lights were on and there was a GPS connected to the battery)
after 20 minutes I was able to start the engine again and drove home (no GPS connected) and had no problems anymore.
A fiew months ago I had a similair problem putting the bike out the garage ready to leave for a trip, I had to try several times before the engine started.
It seems that both time that the red engine light on the dashboard is not functionning
The "red engine light"? I'm not familiar with this. I know there is a red oil pressure light on the dash. If you "engine stop switch" is in the off position, this light will not light up on most models. This should disable your starter as well if I'm correct. Still, if the ignition switch is on, engine not running, and the oil light is not illuminated, check the "run-stop" switch on your handlebar controls.
