If they are opening the valves, yes. If just turning in the bore, without opening valves should be smooth and fairly easy.

I have klr 250 timing issue, what can I do?

Hi Dave:
I just bought my first KLR yesterday and a service manual came with it.
Check the milage on yours??????
Really ony 2,200? That's barely broken in and amazing for a '94.
The hiss from the airbox would indicate a bad intake valve or at least that I would be checking compression to start trying to figure it out.

Do they make a rebuild kit for a kawasaki klr 250 1991

Google Kawasaki and find out. I doubt they have one, you'll probably have to buy a new one.

Engine rpms stay up for a few seconds after throttle release and back fires alot when coasting with throttle off . klr 250

Possibly throtle is sticking or "hanging-up". Lube and test throttle cable assembly. Make sure you can twist throttle and it snaps back nicely.

Battery

Yes the Kawasaki KLR 250 has a battery albeit almost as small as a 6 volt battery we all played with in 5th grade science class. The 2002 model uses a 12 volt, 4 AH. FBL4L-A
