I am looking at purchasing a 750 sport in exceptional condition, only 3,500 km, I don,t think its the factory battery and it dosn't seem to have any thing to secure it. The Battery is sitting in a rubber housing,
PS can you still purchase the indicator switch?

    Cheers Russell

I'm looking at purchasing a 750 sport only having done 3,500 kms , it dosn't appear to have the factory battery. It sits on a rubber matt but dosn't appear to have anything to restrain it.
PS can you still purchase the small knobs on the turning indicator,

I have had tons of sport bikes, all that holds the battery down is a small rubber strap, I really doubt the noise is the battery, u just couldn't hear it over the engine and road noise, trust me on this.

Cannot start YTH 170. Turning starter key gives rattle from engine but no apparent spark. Belt plug OK.

Unless you damaged engine this may just be an electrical problem. a starter bendix will "rattle" if there isnt enough power to turn the starter. make sure the battery is charged, tighten battery cables and any larger red wire connections AFTER you temporarily disconect the red or positive battery cable

Totally dead

Was it ever dropped? The rattle is concerning. There is almost no way for you to do anything about this without taking it apart. That is not something that is easy to do though. Can you describe the rattle? Is it heavy sounding or light sounding? What is the location? You can take the covers off the back for the RAM, Hard Drive and battery and see if you can see anything rattling. See if the memory chip is lost inside. That could cause the problem.

My controller won't turn on. There's something that sounds like it's rattling in it, but it's brand new, out of the package literally 5 minutes ago.

If you hear rattling, something has probably come off on the inside. Must be battery connections since everything worked except powering on. If you bought it from ebay, contact the seller right away and have it replaced. If you bought it locally you can easily get a replacement.

Dont open it or you risk not getting a replacement.

03'Chevy TrailBlazer..rear ac don't work, rattling under truck

When the dealer replaced your resistor, they probably unhooked the battery (naturally for safety). However, this can blow the actuators unfortunately, especially if it was set to on when they unhooked and rehooked the battery back up. Pretty common problem. The rattling very well could be your stabilizer bar end links. Grab a hold and try to wiggle, should be no movement. Pretty common for these to go out also. When replacing these, get new ones that are greasable with zirks. OEM's are not serviceable.

Kmx 125 1995 engine rattle at high revs does rattle at low but not noticable till high revs also anyone know why a vfr400 grey import isnt charging battery? has new voltage regulator still not charging...

Rattle generally means detonation, which will destroy your engine. How quickly that will happen depends on the severity of the detonation. You can cure detonation by retarding the timing, cooling the intake charge, using higher octane gas, or lowering your compression.

My MT-03 is vibrating an making a bit of a rattling sound

Hi Mattandem

Best approach to working out these sorts of problems is to pull the tank off again, and carefully check all your work. Particularly any new wiring, or wiring that you may have disturbed whilst installing the grips. Check also that all of the rubber mounts for the tank are correctly in place. Cabling has a tendency to rattle quite loudly against any and everything on your bike. Vinyl insulation tape lagging new cables to existing looms is an effective way to stop them rattling, and strategically placed cable ties, particularly about the front end and headlamp fitting. Good luck with the de-rattle. Let me know how you got on. Cheers
