A service manual is a valuable tool with an aging bike. I suggest the dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library reference section...646 stacks should have what you need.

86 gpz 1000rx starts and runs well but dies when letting clutch out, new plugs and clean carbs.

I would check the safety switches are working properly, particularly the side-stand switch. On many bikes, the engine will die when you let the clutch out if you have the side stand down.

How to set up a new clutch

There is no setting the tension on the springs if the clutch has 4-6 springs as most do. The bolts that hold the clutch springs in tighten all the way down until they are snug (I would say about 100 inch-lbs max for each bolt torque.

What is the torch on my springs on my clutch for my fz1000

Hi, a typical torque setting for a six mm bolt is 6 to 8 foot pounds, however care must be taken as the clutch posts are quite easily stripped of their threads, because the bolt is pulling a spring you may get a false sense of torque, tighten the bolt until the washer meets the post and give a little more tension on the bolt, would probably try on a 6 mm bolt elswere on the bike other than the clutch to get a feel for the small amount of torque

What is the torque for the bolts that hold the clutch spring plate reduced effort clutch spring on a 2003 FLSTIC

I've never really torqued these bolts and I've replaced plenty of the diaphragm springs. Usually I put stronger springs in the clutch since I'm building up the horsepower of the engines. I put a drop of Loctite 242 (med, strength blue) and tighten the bolts to about 25-30 foot pounds. Check the standard torque for a grade five bolt of the size that are in the clutch.

I need proper torque specs for clutch relese springs 84 gpz 1100

You are over torquing the springs. Buy a generic manual from your automotive shop. ZX11 specs are much higher than the GPZ.

Kawasaki 87 stickers in Canada has complete sets or individual sticker pairs including pinstripes for the US Ninja version, but not the GPZ. So, with one of these kits, you could get all of the right stickers except the GPZ (comes with Ninja) stickers on the upper cowl, and the 1000RX for the belly pan (comes with 1000R). They have stickers for other older Kawasaki's as well.
