General Motors does not have a service interval for fuel injectors, though they make a injection cleaner if there is a drivability issue. Other companies suggest a injection cleaning interval of 48000 miles. I would suggest an in tank additive from a reputable company every couple of years.

2002 GMC YUKON XL 1500 MOTOR DIES AFTER GOING

Check the fuel cap!! If the vacuum relief is not working it can impede the fuel flow and cause the engine to shut down or not restart after a stop. Waiting usually gives things a chance to stabalize and the engine will restsrt. When this happens again try loosening the cap and see if the engine will restart.....If it restarts immediately, REPLACE the fuel cap..Do Not leave it loose because this will cause other problems. If it is not the fuel cap the problem may be the filter, the fuel pump, or aome other fuel system malfunction.

Yes, you will need to remove the fuel tank. Replacing the fuel pump is a pain in the *** if you've never done it before.

WHAT PARTS DO I NEED TO TUNE UP MY 2003 GMC YUKON XL

you don have to do much to that gmc as long the coil is good, just replace all 8 spark plugs, air filter and basic oil and filter change; use good brands of oil, such as castro, mobile, shells ect. if your the original owner and have high miles and never have replace thermostat, I would go ahead and have it done, I would not wait until it fail and over heat on you. if you have done lot of pulling with your vehicle and have 75-100k mile, have your transmission flush with new filter, it will give the tanny life last a bit longer.

Fuel reset button on 2002 yukon

The reset button for any instrument display tallies ( fuel consumption, average, trip miles, etc ) is located on the sterring wheel. It should be the button on the lower right with the down and back arrow printed on it. Once you display the item you want to reset, hold this button for a few seconds and the display should reset to 0.
