Front wheel wobble or shaking on acceleration/deceleration can be, A tyre not sitting on its wheel correctly, front brake binding (more noticable on a single front disc, head race worn or needs adjusting,
What is often overlooked is the back of any motorcycle as the swinging arm will transmit front wheel shake due to a worn or badly adjusted swinging arm.
The front wheel spindle and or bearings may need to be looked at but on bikes with less than 20,000 miles this will normally be adjustments rather than replacements
It needs to be noted than VN1500 nomads normaly have a speed wobble around 30 to 45 MPH and this is a known issue that finds its roots on the tyre itself and they need to be deflated and re seated after 200 miles, handy if you are trying to think what it is but it is no real issue and an easy fix.

When you go to lock it or unlock the steering give the bars a little wiggle while turning the key. Somtime the rod that goes into the hole gets gummed up. As for the front end wobble I would take a look at the wheel to see if it has gotten bent or if you have lost a wheel weight. Also check the wheel bearings buy getting the front wheel off the ground and hold the front end from moving and grab the top and bottom of the wheel and see if there is any side to side rocking movment. If there is stop riding the bike and get them replaced.

Forget the fuel gauge. Find out how far your bike will go on a tank of gas and reset your trip meter each time you refuel. When you have gone about 100 miles, fill up.

TO ALL VN1500 OWNERS....This once happen to me,
I went to the garage to start the bike "Nothing ""The first thing is the lights are bright but no turning over,Next you think the solenoid is kaput but the answer was very simple and the fix takes 30 seconds..
Do not take the bike to bits looking for other problems and look at the clutch leaver and you will see some wires going into a plastic shroud going into the switch in the clutch leaver, Make sure this has not popped out if its connection as it some times may do after a few years due to constant turning on the handlebars,
When this is not connected you will have a bike that will not fire up but comes alive and you will hear a clicking noise but this is from the engine carb area and every function of the bike will work but it will not turn over, Worth looking at and saves sixteen quid for a starter unit you never needed.
