Question about 2002 Harley Davidson FLHR - FLHRCI Road king

3 Answers

This morning I ran over what sounded like a flat piece of plastic. It sounded like a piece of the plastic "popped" up and struck my bike 02 Roadking around the front or the Rh side...around the air cleaner. I'm not really sure. I can't find any obvious damage to the metal or wiring. However, my bike will not start. It turns over but there is no spark. Please help. Thanks

The Problem I am having is that when you accellerate the bike acts like it wants to die, but than picks up like nothing happened. when you slow down it acts like it is only firing on one cylinder just about dieing. This is on a 2002 Harley Davidson FLHRCI Road King.

02 roadking surges and stalls

You do not say when it surges or stalls. You should first see how the power commander is progarmmed as it may have a problem for the mapping of a certain rpm range etc.

I Have a 2005 Yamaha V Star 650 Motorcycle-bike just stopped running (60 mph) , would not restart. Battery good, fuel full, spark at plug any idea's to troubleshoot?

Try tapping on your fuel pump with a plastic hammer with the ignition switched on. Or bypassing the fuel pump completely with a piece of fuel line. It sounds like you ran out of gas which is related to the fuel petcock position or a non-functioning fuel pump.

How do I remove the handlebars on a 1998 HD roadking

Remove the cap in the center of the handlebars and take a look, I'm afraid you will have to take the whole housing assembly apart. It's been a few years since I did ours.
Not so easy, first the head light has to come out, the a 5/16 nut inside the head light housing holding on the trim piece that needs to come off. One that's off the plastic trim piece on ignition need to be pried off "gently", then remove the 2 screws and that cover will come off giving you access to the handle bar mounts. Unscrew the old ones at the headstock and put the new ones on where the old ones went and screw them in at the right spot (where you want them) sit on the bike and hang on to them and do them up "tight". Hope this helps! Good luck!
