The bike while riding between 55mph and 60mph started backfiring, waterlight came on, losing power, lurching and i stopped. still full with coolant

Start with a compression check to eliminate a bad head gasket.
Drain and flush the cooling system, could have a blockage.
Be sure you check the pressure cap to see if the cooling system is full. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAP ON A HOT ENGINE! The overflow tank is not the place to check if you are having overheating issues.

1988 kawasaki vulcan 1500 overheating... Replaced the clutch. Just replaced the thermostat but is still getting very hot to where the clutch doesnt wanna work.. Could it be water pump and what to look...

did you bleed the cooling system when you replaced the thermostat, is the coolant in the correct ratio of inhibitor/water, open up the bottom hose and flush out the sytem and start again.

Need radator for kawasaki vn 1500 classic tourer 2001 is the driffter the same radator as the vn 1500 classic plz hellllllllllllp

TO ALL VN1500 OWNERS....This once happen to me,
I went to the garage to start the bike "Nothing ""The first thing is the lights are bright but no turning over,Next you think the solenoid is kaput but the answer was very simple and the fix takes 30 seconds..
Do not take the bike to bits looking for other problems and look at the clutch leaver and you will see some wires going into a plastic shroud going into the switch in the clutch leaver, Make sure this has not popped out if its connection as it some times may do after a few years due to constant turning on the handlebars,
When this is not connected you will have a bike that will not fire up but comes alive and you will hear a clicking noise but this is from the engine carb area and every function of the bike will work but it will not turn over, Worth looking at and saves sixteen quid for a starter unit you never needed.

The fan runs for a long time after i turn the engine off

is it using coolant? may have a leak or waterpump seal gone.
Does it over heat? may need a new head gasket
The sensor that opperates the fan relay may need replacement, the fan relay may be sticking on.

probably time to service the coolant system, flush, new coolant, thermostat and cap, pressure test the system.
