Question about 1995 Honda GL 1500 SE Gold Wing
I'd changed some lamps in the trunk, and put the latch assy. back together wrong. I closed the trunk lid to check if it would latch and it did. But now the lever doesn't unlatch the trunk. What are some options, ideas, ways to get in with the least damage done? Also, it does have a custom paint job so don't want to have to much repairs.
You need a wire coat hanger or length pf brazing rod, hooked at one end. if you insert it between the 3 latch levers and up you will be able to hook the long bar that runs across (about 3 or 4 inches up) and pull it down. Usually takes quite a few attempts to get it.

Look at the top of the left pannier there is a small black knob at the back under the top box pull it up and your top box should open if that dosnt work remove the lower panel under the top box look at the levers at the top of the linkage there is a metal bar pull it down and your box will open.
