Check the flasher - sounds like it is shot. (look under the seat) Also, check that you have the correct lamp in each socket and check that the lamps are not corroded.

Check your headlight (if you have not already) Same advice for the taillight ... are yo certain you have the correct lamp installed?

I hope this helps

My 82 750 Nighthawk and the headlight does not work before and after it starts

First, test for voltage at the plug that attaches to the headlight, if you have voltage at each terminal when set to it's respective hi or low position it could only be your headlight. If you don't have voltage then you need to work back from the wire to the switch and etc etc

My tailight comes on but when I press the brake it doesn't get brighter

Check the filament of your taillight. The bulbs for taillights are usually dual filaments. If one is busted, the bulb has to be replaced. Check also your brake stop switch and the bulb socket.

1996 honda 750 nighthawk headlight doesn't work fuse is ok ,bulb is ok

Hi, Anonymous if your headlight is not working, only one beam works, keeps burning out, blinking, dim or surges from bright to dim to bright the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, then check your head light bulb socket ground wire for a clean tight connection, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn down solder contacts or loose fit of the bulb base in the socket due to vibration.
3. Worn, chafed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
4. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
5. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
8. Faulty headlight relay.
9. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
10. Weak charging alternator/generator/lighting coil
11. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier ground or overcharging.

I'd be willing to bet your dash lights don't work either when you turn the headlight on.change the headlight switch, it has a short, it's only about 11 dollars at advance auto, and is fairly easy to replace. my 93 chevy did same thing, changed headlight switch, problem solved

My headlight is inop on my 1993 750 nighthawk, I suspect the problem to have something to due with the ignition system. I replaced the fuse and headlight and checked the high/low beam switch.

The two most likely culprits are the ignition switch and the starter button. The starter button, in the right handlebar switch assembly, performs two functions: cranks the electric starter - and, at the same time, turns off the headlight. Sometimes the electrical contacts inside the starter button burn out and fail to reconnect the headlight circuit when the button is released.
You can easily determine which one is the problem by simply checking for battery voltage at the headlight fuse. No voltage means the likely cause is the ignition switch. Also inspect the large plug on the bottom of the ignition switch. Sometimes the individual connectors will corrode, melt, or push themselves out of the plastic housing.
If there's voltage at the headlight fuse, then plan on replacing the right handlebar switch assembly.

Headlight is dim in idle.

You need to see what voltage is at your battery at an idle, with a meter first.

Tail lights stay on when car is off

Check this 1st.With the car running, turn on the headlights. If the taillight gets brighter,it's the brakelight that is staying on.Turn the headlights off to see if that then makes it less bright. If so.try lifting the brake pedal up.If the taillights go out,it is the brakelight sensor switch that is hooked up to the brake pedal. This is a small pushswitch, located at the top of the brake pedal in the inside of the car.It will have 2 wires connected to it.It either needs adjusting or is faulty.Hope this helps

Taillights wont burn

You'll have to use a 12vdc test light and start probing for power with tailights on, and I'd work from tailight & go forward. You did check all your fuses right?
