My headlight just stopped working. One of my

My headlights just stopped working. My headlights only work on brights. One of my daytime running lights is out. What could be the problem?

    I asked an auto parts store and he said that both bulbs usually dont go out at the same time. He seems to think that it is a switch, but I dont want to spend alot of money if I dont have too

Dont replace the bulbs ...check the fuses first...each circuit has its own independent fuse...one for low beam one for high beam and a separate low voltage one for running lights...you may have 1 bad bulb at very worst that could have blown the fuse...why spend extra money on 2

Replace the bulbs

    I had both bulbs go out at the same time.What have you got to lose if you replace both bulbs.If it's not the bulbs after you relace them then you will have the orignal ones as a spare.You can check the switch easily with a volt meter at the connectors to the bulbs

Here are the fuses, check fuse 5 and D although they covers more items than lights. Your best bet is to find a good local auto-electrician.

Daytime running lights stopped working, headlights on all the time. Instrument pannel and all dash lights on all the time. Fuses checked ok, all headlights, hi and lo, work. Want it back to normal.
You may have a problem with the daytime headlight relay, or a headlight swith malfunction.

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.

Daytime runnning lights mean that the headlights are on in the daytime. On my 2005 MAlibu I can turn these of by truning the headlight swithc from auto to off.

Headlights wont work on 2000 chevy silverado everything else works. The high beam light will even show up on bright.The running lights work. Headlights just wont come on.
Check the fusible links under the hood. Also, double check the bulbs are in fact good. Lastly it could be a defective daytime running light relay.

try checking the daytime running light module.
there is also a sensor for the auto headlights that may think it is still daylight.try playing around with the auto switch
