Because the bike is so new i wouldnt suspect the stator i would invest in a battery, a good battery is crucial for bikes. once you get a good battery in it check the voltage at the terminals when the bike is running(you should see around 13 to 14 volts). you can have the battery load tested at a batteries plus or an auto part store so you dont waste your money, but once you kill a bike battery there pretty much junk. the stators in motorcycles barely put out enough power to run the bike and pretty much trickle charge the battery. they rely on the battery to pick up the slack. get a battery from walmart there cheap and ive had one in my bike for two years and its fine, stay away from the over priced ones they dont do anything but slim down your wallet.

Why poulan pro riding mower wont charge

First check your battery, make sure the cells are good and no bad cells. If that is good then the issue is under the flywheel. There is a coil under your flywheel that serves as a generator. You can just purchase a 2 am charger with a breaker, that will kick out when battery is charged and hook that up after each use. If you jump a unit or charge a unit with more than 2 amps, you can burn the generator coil out under the flywheel. Also check the magnet under the flywheel. I have seen them come out.

Is it the alternator?

Sounds like a charging system problem. The engine runs off of the alternator but if it is not charging the battery properly the battery will be drained until I engine will no longer run. You need to get the vehicle to a repair shop to have the battery and charging system check for defects

I bought an 89 dodge spirit, and it wont keep the battery charged has had multiple new batteries put into it and it also stalls every time its put into gear what could be the problem

Most probably, the AIC stepper motor is bad, one way to kno, is when the engine slows at idle when you swithc on the air conditioner, and the Idle automatioc control does not correct the RPM dropping from the increased load. An engien that does not maintain correct and stable idle cannot maintain the battery charged, but it could have multiple issues.

I have a 98 Honda Shadow ACE VT750. The battery was replaced in May. I cannot get the battery to hold a charge. The starter fuse was just replaced. The bike will not start without jumper cables and...

Charge and load test the battery. If the battery sat dead for as little as two weeks , it could be sulfated and no good. If it is a Yuasa battery it only has a 6 month warranty , grab your receipt and race back to the dealer. They will charge and load test it three times . If it does not pass the load test you will get a new battery if it is still under warranty. Grab your voltmeter and unplug the plug with three yellow wires that is coming out of your stator. The three yellow wires coming from the stator should have continuity with each other and no continuity between any of the yellow wires and ground. That is the test for the stator. If the stator is good , the battery is good , then you probably have a bad regulator/rectifier. I suspect you just have a bad battery.

STALLING AND LOSING POWER WHILE RIDING

If battery is running down. The engine may not be charging the battery. Check charging system. If running on battery, the bike will run fine for awhile then die as the battery can no longer provide spark to the engine. If charging system is less than 13.0 volts could be a ad stator or regulator. Make sure the battery posts are clean, a bad ground can cause problems too.
