I have oil in my coolant resevoir

Hmm try changing the oil, flush and fill the radiator. Then see if the contaminant comes back into the resevoir. If you have a cracked, block/head or a blown head gasket the envoy would have white or blue exhaust coming out and would be overheating since oil retains heat. Some other tell tale signs are little steam will come out of your oil filler when u open it.Your oil looks like chocolate milk instead of regular oil when u check it. Try a compression or a leak-down test to find out if your head gasket is blown. Pull the spark plugs see how they look.

(Contaminated water from rust or mineral? dont use tap water when mixing with the anti freeze)

Hope all this helps you

Where to put in gear lube

With hood raised look to the far right in the corner. You will see the resevoir to the left of the resevoir for gear oil. The resevoir for gear oil is smaller & sits right in the right corner. The cap has a raised button on it & there's a round floating disk inside.

My husqvarna automatic chain oiler doesn,t work...235 husqvarna any fixes?.

You may have gotten some saw dust particles inside the oil resevoir that got sucked into the delivery tube, thus clogging up the oiler...you can drain the oil out of resevoir and run some seafoam thru the oil resevoir to see if you can get it unclogged

Oil change on Polaris 2004 ATV 600 twin

i have heard that you only drain the oil from the oil resevoir. there is a 14mm bolt at the bottom of the resevoir. remove this and the oil should drain. you may also turn the engine over a few turns to evacuate the remaining oil in the cranckcase. change the filter, fill the oil rsevoir to the specified amount and you should be good to go.

Oil is being introduced into the coolant resevoir, but no water in the oil or transmission systems. How can this be?

You may have a bad head gasket. Have the engine tested at a shop for confirmation.

I have oil around the top of the antifreeze reservoir.2003 chev impala.Had the intake gasket replace at 70,000 k there is 128,000 k on car now.

most likely the resevoir was not cleaned good and some residue in radiator made its way into the resevoir. i would recommend removing resevoir cleaning out good and reinstalling. also check youur oil for any signs of coolant getting in there.

Where is the oil filter on my yamaha V-star 1100

On the right side of the bike (right side when ou are sitting on it) just above the rear brake lever behind a small circular plate. remove the plate and the oil filter is inside (you will easily see it). Warning---on these bikes you have to drop the front exhaust header and right floor board in order to change the oil filter unless you install a after market oil filter relocation kit. If you plan on changing your own oil it is highly recommended to install this relocation kit.

a fix that sometimes works is to add kerosene to oil tank where the oil would go normally and rev saw several times with out load holding blade in down position over a piece of dry card board so you can see the oil spraying on the piece of cardboard careful of moving chain
