Do you have a place to check the oil on the side of the motor? Can you find a separate oil tank that has a tube that leads to the carb? If there is a oil dipstick on the side of the motor, you probably have a 4 stroke engine. Four stroke engines do not use gas/oil mix. Two stroke engines do use oil/gas mix. Enough on the lesson ... can you call a dealer in your town or closeby and ask them to confirm what you think it is? When I googled Kawasaki 250 ... it LOOKED to me like the engine is two stroke - but confirm that with a dealer. I hope this helps.

Just burn premium gas. No oil adds to the gas.

The photo posted with your question shows a four stroke engine. This type of engine is like your car. Oil is not added to the gas. The oil in the engine only lubricates the crankshaft and other parts inside the engine. The oil filler with the sight glass is where you add oil to the gearbox. The crankshaft and top end also use the gearbox oil.

If the photo is a wrong photo, and your bike is a two stroke then just mix four ounces of two stroke motor oil into every gallon of gas. Do not use standard motor oil in the gas, only 2 stroke motor oil. The standard 10w40 motor oil is what goes into the crankcase.

Dont know what the oil gas mixture is suppose to consist of

Your manual (from Sears) states that your mix ratio is 40:1. You will need 3.2 ounces of Poulan "Pro" synthetic 2 stroke oil mixed in 1 U.S gallon of gas or you can mix 1.6 ounces of the oil in a half-gallon of gas. They suggest using the Poulan "Pro" brand synthetic oil. I do also. Synthetic oil significantly reduces wear, allows the machine to run cooler, and burns cleaner with less by-products and emissions. You can view a PDF file of your manual here:

Just picked up a free 1981 YZ125H. What is the gas/oil mixture. also does the radiator use plain water or antifreeze. Thanks

32 to1. That means 4 ounces of 2 stroke ENGINE oil per gallon of gas. Never use motor oil. Put a 50-50 mix of water and antifreeze in the bike.

How do I tell if my 250 polaris atv is a two stroke or a four stroke other then sound

Does it have valves? or acess to adjust them? If it does it's a 4 stroke. If you have to mix the gas as with a oil and gas mix it's a 2 stroke.  A 2 stroke has a smaller head than a 4 stroke.

Need to know how much oil to mix with gas for a 4 cycle ryobi weed eater

You only need to mix oil with gas when it is a 2 cycle engine. 4 cycle engines run on straight gas. Since you didn't post your model number, here is a site you can hopefully find your owners manual at. Hope this helps.

Motul off road 800 two stroke oil ?

The oil mix is 32 gas to 1 oil. That 32/1 mix equals 4 ounces of any brand of TWO STROKE ENGINE OIL per gallon of gas. DO NOT use motor oil. Motor oil is what goes in the gearbox. Use 91 octane gas.

I get a top rating on this one! Thanks Miera!
