Hi,My sabre battery crapped out. I replaced

Hi, My sabre battery crapped out. I replaced it. A few miles it was drained again. I've talked to folks. Suggested it would be the rectifier, stator (sp?). Is there a regulator? Anywho, I'm not sure where to start and am trying to avoid the shop and the prices there.
I'm not that versed in electrical stuff, but can follow directions, ok. I also have friends who can help me.
Can you give any direction?

My Sabre seems to be eating oil.. There is no black smoke and no leaks but every 800 miles I am adding about quart of oil. Has anyone else had this issue? I am about to replace the rings.

I have no solution. My 2006 use oil like that. I keep a check on it and add small amounts to the line.
I run it hard on the freeway/forty miles to work/forty back home. I have 18,000 miles it still runs strong no problem. That maybe reason the book says change the oil 8,000 miles.

Running so few miles has accelerated the aging of the battery - the battery never had a chance to fully recharge in such small trips -  so now you have to replace it a year sooner than usual.
Just replace it.

Where is the radiator drain plug for a 2002 honda shadow sabre

This is correct. I just changed my coolant on my 2002 1100 Sabre and all you have to do is disconnect the lower radiator hose and drain all of the fluid out, flush with fresh water, then reconnect and fill with appropriate coolant.

How two start a mini cooper one after two years?

Change the oil and oil filter. Make sure you allow plenty of time for all of the old oil to drain.

Drain the gas tank, flush the fuel lines, or you could just add some Water Remover and Antifreeze to your fuel system to absorb any built up condensation and fill up with fresh gas.

Check Radiator fluid, if it's discolored drain and replace .

Make sure your tires have air to the appropriate pressure. Drive slowly for the first few miles until the tires heat up and any flat spots work out.

If you have taken your battery out prior to storage, reconnect the battery. If the battery was left in the car, and you have had it stored for more than a year, you will need to replace the battery.

Remove the spark plugs. If your car has been sitting in storage for over 3 months, with the spark plugs removed, add a little Marvel Mystery Oil to help lubricate the cylinders.

With the spark plugs still out, turn the engine over a few times to get the oil working through the car. Keep cranking the engine until the oil pressure reads normal and the oil pressure light has gone off.

Replace the spark plugs and their leads in the correct order.

Start the car and let it idle and warm up for a few minutes.

Take the car for a short 10 to 20 mile trip, note of any odd sounds. When the car is back in the garage, look for any leaks and check all fluid levels again.
