Even though your bike runs on a 12 volt DC system, a lot of the smaller honda bikes run the headlight on AC power, such as the scooters and the Enduro/offroad bikes. This is normal and should not be a concern.

Where is the fuse box located on a 1996 savage ls650

Hi Chris,
The fuse box is under the left side seat.

Regarding the brake light, check your brake switch located somewhere at the brake pedal arm. My guess is, it was stucked to ON position that is brake lamp is always lit.

I hope that helps.

Front left running light burns too bright and left rear blinker blinks faster.

Hi Kevin, you have the front left turn signal bulb installed 180 degrees out or your wiring is bass ackwards. Good luck and have nice day.

Lights shine bright when engine is revved and dims when revs fade why?

The faster the generator spins, the more power it generates. A battery is used to buffer the current and to supply power when the engine is at low revs. A more powerful battery, ( 5amp hr instead of 3 amp hr ), would better supply the light when the revs are low.

Only brights work, dimly lit headlamps, no fog lamps

Recheck the bulb number. This happens when the wrong bulb number is installed. Otherwise it could be a bad headlight ground.

Secure my motorcycle

Lock the steering to one side with the ignition lock. Use a disk lock. Use a large lock with a chain around something solid. If you use a disk lock, also get a bright ribbon that says something clever like “Remove Before Takeoff” so you don’t forget to remove the lock before you break your brake disk. Keep the motorcycle out of sight … or in a brightly-lit area. Keep it under a cover, with a better lock than the other motorcycles nearby. Get a bike that is less popular with thieves. Despite all this advice and all your best efforts, your bike might still get stolen.

Wave Radio-dial face,display very dim.

Our Bose did the same thing after a power outage. This one doesn't have a CD button, so we tried holding down the Clock button and used the volume control and that seems to have fixed it.

Bose wave radio/cd

Found this in the manual:

To adjust the display brightness -

The display dims automatically to medium or low brightness, as appropriate for low light room conditions. You can adjust the brightness setting of the display for both strong light and lowest light environments, but not for the medium light setting. Turn the system off before setting brightness levels.

• In a strongly lit room, hold down CD Mode and press Volume up or down to adjust the setting between 5 and 9 (it is preset to 8).
• In a barely lit room, hold down CD Mode and press Volume up or down to adjust the setting between 1 and 5 (it is preset to 2).
• If you do not want the system to dim automatically, set both levels to 5.
