Hi, Bigdoug44 you may have a faulty turn signal module before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity.

Today when I was out on my 08 Hayabusa, the clocks switched off and wouldn't come back - headlight was working but turn signals, rear light and brake light have failed. Can anyone help?

Hi, Andrew and the usual suspects are:
1. Blown light circuit fuse.
2. Faulty ignition switch.
3. Faulty wiring, corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets in the wire harness connectors of the light circuit. For this scenario, you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. Rear lights not working on 2002 suzuki grand vitara

In the underdash fuse/relay box, the 15A TAIL fuse feeds power to the coil of headlight relay 2. When the combination switch is set to TAIL, the relay closes and the outer tail lamps light. In the same underdash fuse/relay box, the 20A STOP fuse feeds power to the brake light switch. When the brake pedal is pressed, the inner brake lamps light. The underdash fuse/relay box also contains the 10A TURN BACK fuse which feeds power to the hazard switch and the turn signal relay. Relay output is fed to the combination switch and turn signal power is applied to the selected middle tail light. The fourth fuse in the underdash fuse/relay box is the 15A HAZARD fuse which feeds power to the hazard switch and turn signal relay. When the hazard switch is set, the turn lamps on both sides begin flashing.

No Tail lights. Or brake lights(when the headlights are on). HELP!!!

I think you have a bad ground at the back on both rear lights or their earth out on the same connection but these american cars use a funny system where the stop lights are the indicators and not a seperate yellow light like europeon motors ,Now these brake light switches also allow the indicators to work by shutting off the feed to the stop light so it flashes with indicators ,Why american cars use this system i dont know as its so complicated for the stop light switch function but try the ground or earth wire on the back lights and if no joy then ask a american mechanic with experiance of this sort of circuitry as when i get american cars for import i have to fit new back lights and disconnect the brake light switch .

Rear tail lights and running lights not working.

Make sure that the rear light fuse is not blown
If not trace the brown wire from the rear lights & check for continuity between lamp holder & fuse
As its both rear lights & front sidelights it will not be an earth fault

Hope this helps (if so please mark as very helpful)

My signal lights, hazard lights, and tail light aren't working.

Check the rear bulbs. If they are working (brakes+lights) check the wires. For the turn signals, override the flasher relay. If they are coming on then you need to replace the relay. If not then check the left hand side clip on switch.
