Its a 5 speed, there is not dipstick. there is a fill plug on the side of the tranny you remove to check fluid level, level should be just below the opening.

Sorry no dipsticks on manual transmissions. If you need to check fluid you need to take it to a shop

What fluid does a 1997 chevy C1500 5 speed manual trans. use

Do you people even read before you answer! There is no park on a manual tranny! The axles do not go into side of transmission either. on this TRUCK aka C1500... This is a truck not a fwd automatic car.If you dont know then dont answer questions!Flat ground take top plug on side of tranny out and fill till it comes back out with 75w90 or 80w140(depending hot/cold climate)You will need a Special removal tool(huge allen wrench type for the drain and fill plugs on right/passenger side of tranny)

Cant find transmission dip stick , 5 speed manual.

The 5 speed manual transmission in your Focus doesn't have a Dipstick, the fluid level is checked by going under the car and removing a fill plug on the side of the transmission case, you then stick your pinkie in the hole and if you can just touch the transmission lube the level is correct. No Ford except automatic transmission models has dipsticks, and even those have been eliminated on the latest models.

What is the capacity for transsmission pan in my chevy cavalier 2.4 1997

If you're just dropping the trans pan of an AUTOMATIC transmission; about 5 quarts. If you mean the entire transmission, its more like 10 quarts. If it's a MANUAL trans, it's a little under 2 quarts.

Hope this solve your question (remember rated this post).

Where is the transmission dipstick for the 2001 chevy cavalier 2.2 liter?

There is no dipstick for the newer model Automatic transmission Cavaliers. There is only a red fill cap on the driver’s side on top of the transmission. The only way to check it is to jack up the car, making sure it level with a jackstand on each side of the car, and remove a small plug from the side of the transmission, underneath the car. It will be small and in an American size. It is either a 3/8" or a 7/16" size plug. Once it is removed, fluid will drain out if it is overfilled. Once there is no more fluid coming out, it is at it's proper level. If there is none coming out, then add more until it comes out and levels off. It has a capacity of about 11 quarts for the 4 speed models. The 3 speed models have about 7 quarts.

The dipstick for the 5 speed manual transmission is located on the back side of the engine. It will have either a white or yellow handle. It holds about 2 quarts of syncro-mesh transmission fluid. It is important that this fluid is used for the manual or problems will occur.

I have a 1997 Chevy Cavalier. It doesn't have a dipstick to check the transmission fluid level. Is there another way to check this?

There's a fill plug on the right side of the unit that works just like the ones on stickshift transmission...fill on level ground 'till fluid just spills from plug opening.
