Gas trickles into airbox and out draintube when parked.

Had to clean carbs from bad gas/storage goofup and all went well except this problem. It seems if any gas is in the carb bowls and the bike or outdoor temp is hot enough when parked, the gas drips. The only way to stop it is to run the gas out by shutting the petcock off early before stopping. Could there be a "breather/expansion" vent that I missed somewhere in the carbs that's clogged? Adjusting float levels did not help either and the vacuum lines seem clear. I have tried several times to find the problem and this is the only conclusion I can reach - expanding gasoline puking into the airbox! Please help me sort out this stinky mess!!

This sounds like a carb overflowing this normaly occures when the float valve sticks, you will have to remove the bottom of the offending carb, remove and clean the float valve assembly inc seating

hello, sounds like you need to set floats in carb, if you have already done that, buy new floats, sounds like one or more of your floats are bad, when you cleaned carbs, did you check and see if any gas was inside the floats, sometimes they will get a pinhole in them, then they will fill with a little gas, and they wont turn gas off, because they cant float in the gas, the carbs are letting gas run through intake down into motor, always turn gas off when not riding your bike that might help a little,

Gasoline in the airbox, muffler (2006 Suzuki Vinson ATV)

usually when the needle and seat are stuck, the gas will run out of an overflow on the side of the carb, unless those are plugged for some reason, then obviously the gas will flow where ever it can. is the machine 2 or 4 stroke?,

My bike die

my bike just died. It started right back up but as I gave it gas it would die again. I managed to roll it out of traffic into a parking space. I tried the choke the fuel valve but nothing worked. It would idle, but as soon as I would give it some gas it would just sputter and die. I got a ride to my house where I got my truck and came back to my bike. I started it up and soon as I gave it some gas, it died. I started it up again and gave it some gas and then it started working just fine. I revved it a few times, but it wouldn't die again. I drove it home and didn't have a problem. It seems to be running fine now. What the heck?? It only has 693 miles on it. It has almost a full tank of gas. What could possibly be wrong?,it's fuel or air related. If your bike didn't have any issues at all, no minor symptoms until it fell on its face like that, I'd wager something worked its way loose. Could be something is preventing fuel from reaching the carbs or something rattled loose in your airbox or carb boots. If something blocked off your air filter it would show those symptoms, or if you suddenly had a huge vacuum leak from a carb boot coming undone. I'd start by verifying you have fuel in the carbs by attaching a length of tubing and opening the drain screw at the bottom. Fuel comes out of your carbs, look elsewhere. No fuel, find out why it's not getting to your carbs. Perhaps your fuel line kinked.,,,
