Most likely the airflow control valve (what would be considered the throttle body on a gas engine) has stripped the gears. The early build 6.7 had poor plastics in the gear housing that led to a high failure rate of this component with stripped gears.

Most bed frames you buy come with assembly instructions. Assembly is usually very simple. Usually most of the frame is put together and all you have to do is link two parts in the middle of the front and back of the frame. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KWP2000
Not sure I understand question. Do you need to just replace the adjuster? Remove trim ring from other side and match it. Are you missing the retaining spring? Is the headlamp bucket damaged? Usually when one thing is bad or in pieces, I'll disassemble another very carefully to see whats missing or broke. Parts stores usually have repair or "HELP" parts for just such problems.Good Luck
there is a gear on the motor that goes bad it is plastic the teeth get stripped take the door panel off (screws and push tabs) when you get the screws out take a putty knife on the bottom edge and start popping the panel out then take it off, get to the motor drill the rivets out and replace put back together
There's a linkage rod that connects from the steering column near the fire wall to a post on the inside of the frame and over to the tranny. The rod is threaded with adjusting nuts on it to match your shift lever with the corresponding sellected gear.It sounds like the adjusting nut slipped down or off the rod.
