You know how you have to mash the gas to the floor to set the choke? Every time you do that, a little jet of gas is sprayed downward into the air stream going down the throat of the carburetor. I think the accelerator pump inside the carburetor is doing that. But it should be enough gas to start a cold engine if your choke is adjusted right. You can observe the gas going down the carburetor... bore, I guess is the right word. (Throat is a common term, air horn is the correct term.) But to observe it, you have to take the air breather off, hold the choke valve open, and look down the throat while you pull the throttle lever to wide open throttle. Just try it a couple of times, and see if gas is being sprayed down the carburetor's air horn. It may help to use a flashlight. Of course, this is all done with the engine off.
You didn't say how it ran once started and warmed up. Is the power and performance satisfactory? Hard to say if it's a fuel problem. If the problem is only hard to start when cold, it could be your choke not adjusted or working right. You could put in a manual choke, pretty simple kit. People often do this when they don't want to fool with the automatic choke. I'm an old geezer, but I for one am glad that carburetors are a thing of the past (even though my daily driver at present has a carburetor -'87 sentra). Fuel injection is much simpler, and easier to diagnose.

Will not run without manuely chocking

Sounds like the unit has sat, and carb gum, Try draining the carb bowl and re-filling. There is a screw at the base of the bowl. Also make sure when cold choke is closed. And it opens fully after 3 minutes. Check battery voltage on choke coil.

Head gasket refixed and the car doesnot start

And it never will start without compression. Check that the camshaft is turning and opening and closing valves when the engine is cranked. Probably need to pull the valve covers off to check for proper operation.

New honda hrr auto choke hard to start

sounds like it may need the carb clening out, but it could be the auto choke not closing when cold. there was an issue with some of the early auto chokes on the gcv135/160 engines so check to see if the choke flap is in the closed position when starting from cold, run the engine for approx 10-15 minutes and see if the choke flap has opened fully.leave it to go cold and see if the choke flap has returned to the closed position

1989 toyota corolla starts with Choke not without choke

First of all change the fuel filter. If that doesn't get it, change the spark plugs. If that doesn't help, check for vacuum leaks. Check all intake bolts for tightness. With the engine running, use a stethoscope, or a length of fuel line held to your ear and listen for a hissing sound. Wiggle all your hoses around and check for loose ones or cracked ones.

Will not start on hot day's in the sun.[engine cranks normal]

The normal reason why a hot engine doesn't start is the choke. Your fancy new range rover will have a computer controlled choke that will be activiated by a temperature sensor. maybe this has failed or is disconnected
In my ancient range rover I have a manual choke but essentially the same engine. I know that if the motor is hot I can't start it with the choke on.
The way the choke works is it restricts the airflow into the engine so that there is a richer fuel / air mixture which is needed for a cold start. If the engine is hot and the choke comes on the engiine floods with petrol and there isn't enough oxygen for it too ignite in the cylinders. To start a flooded engine you have to open the choke and crank the motor without pressing the accelerator. This pumps out the petrol vapour and eventually it will fire and start. If the computer thinks it is cold because of a disconnected or faulty sensor it will put on the choke whenever you try and start and the engine will flood.
I think a vapour lock is unlikely unless you driving in extremely hot weather (above 40 degrees celsius).
