The rinse aid or the rinse aid dispensing cap could be the reason why your dishwasheris not fully drying your dishes. Without the rinse aid, the dishes will not shed water easily and will not dry properly. First, make sure the rinse aid chamber is not empty.
www.partselect.com/Repair/Dishwasher/Not-Drying-Properly/..this is not to say this is what is wrong with yours but have a read.
i found this on the internet.
Based on your description...and provided the dishwasher is indeed 1.an Asko D1796 ( the FI just means it's the same as yours except it's "fully integrated" )and 2. is filling with water, washing, heating and draining without any error codes...an extremely long cycle an manifest from poor draining or poor heating etc. My first suggestion would be the need to perform a diagnostic/fault trace program by following the steps below to see what errors are present, if any. You'll need to be familiar with the control layout for the test to begin. This is how the buttons/display is identified in the diagnostic... Now you can enter the fault trace by way of the following sequence....
I'd pay particular attention to the heating and making sure your inlet water is hot. Let me know what you find and I'll try and help you move forward from there...you may opt to call in a pro but that's up to you.
there should be two openings at the bottom, one for the drain to the drain line, and one towards the top for a dishwasher to drain into the garbage disposal. If you do not have a dishwasher, the top drain should come with a cap, and the lower drain is what the drain pipe gets tied to.
Have installer come back to you, sounds like a pump problem, blockage, timer, ...is outlet hose kinked at all? It usually goes into the kitchen sink drain below.
The dishwasher drain line that connects to the garbage disposal or pipe under the sink should be looped above the height of disposal or pipe to prevent
sink water from backflowing into dishwasher.
Most dishwashers have some form of internal backflow preventer inside the water sump assy..
Yours may be degraded or stuck open.
Anti flood system triggered that puts the machiene in pump out mode. This machiene has a poor quality "Y" pipe at the bottom that is prone to pin holes in the pipe due to poor quality and extremely thin. The pin holes cause a small amount of water to activate the Anti flood micro switch on the polystireen float at the bottom of the washer.
One the water in the bottom of the machine is more than likely becuase it is not draining properly reason? Thenpump or drain pipe could be blocked or the filter or outlet at the bottom of the unit is clogged with food,Two are you useing dishwasher powder or blocks and not dishwashing liquide, three chech the wash arem holes are not clogged with food all holes must be open if two or so clogged it will spin the arm but will not wash properly and naturally will not rinse properly they must aslo be clean.Last make sure the machine is heating the water and not trying wash cold do this by stopping the machine mid cycle and open the door is there steam if so cool leave it to finnish the wash so clean filter ,wash arms, drain pipe blow into it and see if ant food particals appear in the machine, Hope this helps
