Power clutch vs. regular clutch for '89 civic

I have an '89 Civic DX and need a new clutch. I've been comparing clutch kit prices and I'm wondering what the differences are between a regular clutch vs. a power clutch? I don't race but travel alot(400miles/week). Is there an advantage to the power clutch over regular clutch given the amount of driving I do?

Not unless you are going to be towing or hauling a large load. Lots of driving does not mean lots of shifting. Do you do most of it on the highway or dozens of short hops around town? Are you the original owner of this Civic or did someone else put miles on it before you bought it? If it lasted 20 years without wearing out, a heavy duty clutch probably isn't needed.

If you shift a lot with a heavy foot on the gas, a heavier clutch might do you some good but if you are a normal driver who puts lots of miles between up and down shifting, stick with a standard clutch.

Will a1996 honda civic front door fit 2000 honda civic dx

The body style was the same from 1996 to 2000 for the Honda Civic. Are both of the Civics similar in body style as in they have the same number of doors? Not sure if a wagon or hatchback would interchange with a regular 2 door coupe.

I have a 97 honda civic dx the right hand bottom ball joint break causing the cv axle to break i replaced both and tried the car but the car wouldnt move so i put a new cluth in the car still wont mov

if you can raise front of vechicle wheels off the ground with transmission out of park if you can turn one wheel and the other wheel turns there is no tranmsmission internal damage to the final drive gear.if you put in new clutch need adjust clutch.if clutch mastercylinder dry or low on fluid you need to add brake fluid bleed the air hydralic clutch system.

My 89 honda civic will only start ny tow some times after towing it will start by key but then u have to tow start it again any ideas???

Could be a bad starter solenoid. Are you pushing the clutch in when you are trying to start the car. All newer cars have a feature that you cannot start them unless clutch pedal is being pressed.

I keep pretty good care of my 1989 Honda Civic DX 4-Dr, manuel transmission. After 22 years, it now has 381,100 miles. It still runs well except it burns a little bit of oil. I have other cars... but I...

Well being well kept up I sure you are burning oil through the valve stem seals.... and new rings too... the head kit should be around 120 to 170 bucks includes every thing from the head up.... and rings should only run you 50 bucks.... If your clutch is strong I would not worry about it.... I have two accord's with over 300,000 on them.... :)

Go to the one that's busiest. If manual calls for lower (regular) octane rating, then that's all you should need unless your racing.
