2005 harley rr turn signal only works with brake applied

Hi Anonymous, always check fuses and bulbs first, you could have a faulty turn signal module or a bad turn signal button/switch, remove it from the switch housing and check for continuity, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all wires are not worn or pinched and connector pins are not corroded, broken, or loose. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below:

Now remove the bulb & put your volt meter to the
center socket contact & ground your blk lead.

See if you get 12.6 volt back to the socket
If not, then you have a voltage drop before the socket

I hate to suggest a wiring diagram, as your doing good
so far,BUT you may need one, after you get dirty under the

Trun signals not working??

you will have to replace the bulbs. there are 2 elements inside the bulb one is for the brakes and running lights and the other is for turn signal. if your fron signals work there is no problem with the circuit itself and your flasher relay is not bad. even though having both bulbs fail at the same time is uncommon, it's not unheard of. hope this helps. good luck
