Hi buddy its difficult to tell as the thermostate may not be opening a way to tell if this is happening is to get a digital thermostate and put it in the coolant bottle and run it to its normall temperature around 80c the temperature will drop and regain again this has dropped because the thermostate has opened if this doesnt happen then you thermostate has gone if this does wok get back to me buddy

08 gsxr turned off while idling and wouldn't turn back over

When the engine is idling, the alternator is not charging. Starting the bike will drain a weak battery. A fast idle (1000 rpm or so) will quickly recharge the battery. If the battery is dead and the alternator is not charging the bike will not run. Check the connections at the battery. Remove and clean them. Check the main fuse and all other fuses. (The temp indication may be a false reading due to other problems.)

When i turn on the ignition on 06 gsxr 600 amessage comes up on the dash check temp it goes off when i drive it . i have checked it for coolant

I've had the same thing on my Honda Magna and a person I know the same on his Suzuki GSX R 600. At first we were told it was the computer going through a system check on start up, then a year later he had a temperature sensor replaced cause it would turn the cooling fan on when the engine was still in warm up. I'll be changing mine in the sprint (I'll have the bike shop do it) cause my engine seams to get ripping hot before the fan come on. So take it from that, it's got something to do with the temperature switch/sensor.

How much coolant do i need to put in bike, 2006 gsxr 600 no manual

Top it off! No exact level or anything. Just fill it, run it until its at regular operating temperature and check to see if it needs to be topped off afterwords. Be sure to let it cool off for a long while before you check it again. Popping off a hot radiator cap is bad bongos.

If the engine wont turn over, probabily you have a bad battery, a bad starter or a bad starter relay, or bad connections.

A hot engine has more compression. If the full battery power doesn't reach the starter it won't turn over...

The FI message means the computer detects a problem with your fuel injection system. Problems with the power commander can cause this message, to troubleshoot it I would start by removing the power commander. You can also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes (15 or so) to reset your bikes computer.
