Question about 2006 Harley Davidson XL 883 Sportster
Both the owners manual and the service manual for my 2006 sportster 883xl say to check the oil when it is at operating temperature and on the Jiffy Stand. When I took my bike to have it serviced at the dealer I was told by the mechanic that the oil was overserviced by 1 quart and that the oil level should be checked while the bike is in the upright position as if I were riding. Which one is correct the owners/service manuals or the mechanic?
