There is many brand that supply spécialy formulated gear box oil for 2 stroke transmission
i would say that motul transoil is a very good one...but it is like religion and politics....however you have to get a non detergent oil due to friction plate application....

Cant locate oil sight glass for 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic, where is it located

Not sure of the 900 Classic, but look to the rear of where the gear change pedal is attached to the splined shaft coming from the gearbox. Is the window there?

Bike was running great then it started to studdering.brought it home looked at then noticed that the air box was full of gas and oil. why?

Some compression from the engine is getting past the rings and into the gearbox. With the compression comes some unburned fuel. The fuel mixes with the gearbox oil and increases the oil level in the gearbox. Now the "oil-gas" level is very close to the vent hose on the top of the gearbox. Remember that compression going into the gearbox? It now carries bits of oil-gas into the vent hose. Where does the vent hose vent to? The air box. The "low cost-getting by" remedy is to do an oil change, clean the air box, install a clean air filter and then do more frequent oil changes in the future. The proper fix is to do an expensive top end job on the engine. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Oil leaks out black tube when running with white smoke, is it a valve adjustment?

It is not a valve adjustment I think you will find that there is too much oil / gas in the gearbox. Some compression is getting past the piston rings and into the gearbox. That means unburned fuel is getting into the oil diluting it and slowly adding to the amount of "oil" in the gearbox. The pressure going into the gearbox is vented to the atmosphere and when the oil level gets too high the pressure carries some of the oil out of the vent tube and onto the road. Change the oil more frequently and most of the problem will go away. That is the cheap fix. The proper fix is to do a top end job; New piston, rings, and re-bore the cylinder if needed. Re-seat the valves since the head is already of to service the piston. The proper fix will probably cost $500 or so. Now, don't you like that bit of white smoke just a little bit? Fork and engine oil for kawasaki kle 400 from 1993

Get the fork oil from the Kawasaki dealer and he will give you the right oil and tell you how much is needed. The gearbox oil is 10w40, any major brand is fine. I think your bike has a oil dipstick? If not then the oil capacity should be on the casing by the oil fill. Worst case, ask the dealer while you are there!
Best wishes and I hope this helps.

I need oil for my bike.

The gearbox takes 10w40 motor oil. The bike does not have an oil filter, changing the oil serves as the "filter". The oil does not have to be "Kawasaki" brand oil. Any brand is fine; Pennzoil, Castrol, Mobile, Shell, etc.. Federal standards apply so they are all 99% the same.

Help with service

Your bike is a four stroke. The gear box and engine are one unit. Standard 10w40 oil goes into the gearbox. The gear box oil IS the engine oil.
You need to buy the oil anyway, so why not go to the Kawasaki dealer and, after buying the oil, ask them show you how to check the oil level. Ask them to tell you what maintenance you should do as the owner. Don't be shy. Ask them "what do you mean by that".."where is that part on my bike?"... How often?... and so forth. They will be glad to give you a first hand education on standard maintenance needs.
