Question about 1986 Honda GL 1200 Aspencade Gold Wing
The problem seemed to get worse over time. It starts and idles fine.
When it finally stumbles it's way through 2nd gear the problem is not very noticable. a mechanic has told me it's probably a carb problem. He suggested that I use a gas additive star tron as the e-10 in fuel seems to gum up the carbs?
The best thing to do is to completely remove and dismantle carbs, and soak insolvent for couple hours then blow dry with air. Replace fuel filter. And check screen in fuel tank. Check for good spark. If weak, check coil and stator voltage
