Might check with dealership where you bought it, they can order you a new gauge.

What would cause temperature gauge bouncing ?

Sounds like the sending unit has an intermittent short to ground. Unhook the the wire from the sending unit, and see if the needle stops jumping around. If it quits jumping around, replace the sending unit. If it still jumps around, you have a bare spot somewhere on the wire and it is hitting ground which will cause the needle to jump. Cut out the bad part of the wire and splice in a new section. That should fix it.

Fuel and temp gauge needles are under the pins after being serviced

previous owner had drilled a 1/16 size hole on the clear plastic directly in front and align with the gas needle at the area where the needle located ( usually below the empty post). use a paper clip the size of the drilled hole, bend one end slightly so it will catch the needle and drag it over the post. i did this couple times already. Do not overfill your gas tank (top-off), which will cause this needle to bounce off and go under neath the empty post. i hope this will help

Gas gauge has stopped working on 1998 Buick Park avenue, could it be a fuse?

If it was the sending unit, it is accessible through the trunk floor. A problem I have with my Park Ave gas gauge is when I get a dead battery and try to start the car, the needles will twitch and it sends my gas gauge needle to the far right side. This causes it to rotate/fall under the proper gauge are and come up under the rest pin on the left side. When that happens, I have to pull my whole instrument cluster and rotate it around so the needle goes back up to the top.
Check where you needle is the next time you turn the key to run. If its under the little rest pin at the empty position of the gas gauge, then this should be the fix.

Gas gauge needle stuck under pin

The easiest way is to drill a small hole in the cluster use a small metal wire to pull it up and over the pin. Or remove the two screws on the trim around the cluster the part that hangs over the cluster pull it of carefully. There are a few 8 or so screws that hold in the cluster and some real small screw that hold the glass on the cluster. Take those screw out and remove glass. flip needle. Use this time to clean the area reinstall all. Note the trim around the cluster is held in by push in clips and screws.

Fuel sensor gauge

you will need to replace the fuel level sensor.(sending unit) it is in the tank and is hooked to the fuel pump. you can buy seperatly from pump. you may finf it easier to remove the bed if you have some help. it is six or eight bolts and harness unplugs then you can get right to it.

Fuel gauge needle way past full, holding temp needle down so I cannot read temp either! 2005 with no low beams. Could problem be related?

Most likely this is the common 03-05 Cavalier instrument cluster problem where the stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board go out. It can be fixed, check this page for more on how to get it taken care of - Cavalier fuel gauge broken

Seems like it's not getting enough gas

It could be your fuel pump with your car not running right, the gas gauge thing i have no clue maybe the sensor inside the tank is messed up. or it could just be your fuel filter not doing its job. Htere are a few things it could be I would say Fuel Filter, Pump and maybe a vacume (spelling) problem, I would need to be there and hear it running or drive it to really figure out what it is
