Bend the rear sent in the middle while pushing it forward, the back tabs will come loose so you can lift the seat up.

I take it you have removed the rear bolt holing the rear of the rear seat to the body of the bike. The rear seat is then pulled rearwards and out of the rear hold on strap
The rear passenger hold on strap is then unbolted from the body of the bike. This will let the front seat by pulled rearward and then upwards to remove it as well.
hope this helps.

SOURCE: battery removel for a 2004 suzuki 800 intruder

I know for the models till 2002 where the battery is located in front of the rear wheel.

Place the bike on her side stand
remove the negative battery lead at the left side, just below the transmission tube ( cone ) 10mm socket wrench
On the right side remove the security cap on the positive lead ( cross screwdriver ), then remove the positive lead.
The battery is hold in place with a 'floor plate'. remove both bolts of the floorplate ( on each side ) while holding the palte into place.
gently lower the plate and the battery.

I hope the 2004 model has the same assembly!

SOURCE: how to remove rear seat on 2004 intruder 800

Anyone saying any tools are needed are wrong. Like the Yamaha Virago, bend the rear seat a little in the middle while pushing forward, the plastic tabs in the back that hold the seat in place will come loose. No tools are required at all..................I have a 2004 Intruder 800

How do I remove the battery from my 1996 Suzuki VS800 Intruder? Thanks Terry F

You asked a specific question, thanks. I don't have experience with your specific bike ... but my general answer may apply. Remove the seat. Should be one or two bolts at the rear of the seat to remove. The battery will be below the seat.

Thanks for your question

Battery location for a 2004 suzuki intruder 800

Hi ...... Find where the battery is, under the seat or behind a side panel. Disconnect the black (negative lead usually with a 10mm spanner then disconect the red (positive) lead. The battery will be held in place with a 'rubber' strap or a bracket and depending on type of battery there may be a vent hose from the battery to the lower half of the bike, this just pulls off and remains in place until you replace the battery. Installation is reverse except you connect red (positive) first.
Let us know how you get on.
