Stator needs to be replaced, works just like a alternator, if you ever banged it or dropped the bike then you have a busted stator. easy to fix but might run you about $70-$90 bucks for a new one.

How low does the battery voltage get? lower than 12v? True a dropped bike will smack the polarity out of the stator, but it would have to be a pretty hard fall. What really keeps a bike charged is the voltage regulator...are the connections hooked up correcly, my connector on my cbr was found smoked/chared and had to be replaced..i did "All" the voltage checks on my stator windings, regulator, pulse generator, spark unit, etc and everything checked out good...but it doesn't mean that my stator is going bad..it could be...but once i changed my regulator, and preformed the test at 4000 rpm i saw it go up to 15v then regulate down to 13.5v like it should...but every day for a week, i checked the voltage and its seems to be holding at about 12.6v which i read was sufficient to start my bike.I also found corrosion on my battery terminals and cleaned them up real good. it could be a stator coil going bad but the odds are to great, i think. Get access to your battery and start the bike for a couple minutes and turn on everything you can: high beams etc.then turn off the bike and then look at the voltage readings ...is it a lot lower than usual! then maybe you do have a stator going bad. Also hook up a meter across you battery before and after start the bike and watch to see if it drops drastically. One more thing to try..trickle charge your battery to the fullest set it in the bike and remove the ground ( be careful to make sure it doesnt contact anything metal) then let it sit for a couple days hook it back up and read the voltage..if it reads normal..then you"ve got a small leak in the system, and its draining the battery.

My sons rca 10.1 tablet wont power up.....right before this happened it was froze on the start up screen and wouldnt power off. I let the power run down hoping then I could charge it and it would power up...

Lithium ION batteries are usually rechargeable. The use mode for these batteries is that there are a set number of recharges that equate to the life of the battery. Usually that life is approximately 1,000 charges.
If you use your battery to 50% then recharge, you can do this ~2,000 times. As the life of the battery is used up, the maximum charge lessens which means where you may have had 8 hours of play time when the battery was new, you will only have 6 hours as the battery life is used up.
In order for a Lithium ION battery to recharge there must be at least a small amount of charge left as a "seed" for that recharge. If you drain a L-ION battery down to zero, it may never recharge again or the max charge will be reduced to an insignificant amount of the original full charge. eg instead of 8 hours you may only get 15 minutes, or 5 minutes, or no minutes.
You are much better off recharging when 50% depleted than using it up til your product stops.
L-ION batteries cannot be repaired only replaced. Most cheap products using L-ION batteries cannot have their batteries replaced.

My i-mate does not start

Hello

you just made a "HimaClearJumpCode.exe" run on ur device(this file exists in ur upgrade folder),and now you are stuck in the bootloader mode

1-hard reset ur device(it wont boot,off course)...

2-plug it in the usb port,u should see that ur system has found a new hardware(if it doesn't,change the USB port)

3-now run the himaupgradeUt.exe.

If this does not work,

1-take the battery off device

2-leave ur device for 12hours without battery,so that backup battery drains...

3-put back the battery, recharge and enter the OS(this option wont work if u have erased the ROM)

4-rerun the upgrade...

The battery might be too low to be charged by the charger,if that is the case;

1) Remove the battery from the phone!
2) Take 3 fresh AAA batteries in series (total 3 x 1.5V = 4.5V)
3) Connect the (+) wire to (+) on the battery
4) Connect the (-) wire to (-) on the battery
5) Hold this in place for 60 seconds.
6) Put the battery in your phone
7) Switch on phone and start charging (via USB)

When driving the bike with the lights on it drains the battery and when i go to start the bike again it wont start. I have recently put in a new battery and started putting it on a optimiser when i park...

Have the charging system checked. Most likely you've got a bad stator (the generator), or a bad rectifier/regulator. Your bike's charging system should put out at least 6 amps of DC current, measured at the battery, at roughly 4,000 RPM.
You can also do a quick and dirty check with a regular volt meter by reading the battery voltage with the engine running. Hold the RPM's briefly at about 3,000 and the battery voltage should rise to around 14.5 volts. If not, then the charging system isn't functioning properly.
Keep in mind, too, that letting the engine idle for extended periods of time will kill the battery (even a properly functioning charging system does not put out much current at an idle).

My 1998 isuzu will get jump started but wont hold the charge i thought after it runs for a couple of mins it should recharge it self wats wrong snl

If the battery is bad it will not hold a charge. Have your battery checked a the local parts house or your mechanic. Also have the charging and starting systems checked to insure they are working properly. Battery should have a reading of about 12.8 volts, alternator should be putting out between 13 and 14 volts. Starter should not draw to many amps.

My w490 cellphone battery seems to take 5-6 hours to recharge.

that may be usual for that phone. my blackberry takes 4 to 5 but i only use half a battery. depending on how badly you discharge your battery. as well as if your consistantly charging your battery it wont be able to hold a charge. it al depends on teh use of the battery.

Can't charge the battery

# New batteries need to be drained by using the camcorder until the viewfinder indicates the battery is empty. Follow these steps: Once the battery has been drained, you may use the charger to recharge the battery. # Consult your manual for the amount of time the battery requires on the charger to get a full charge. # A full charge will be delivered by the charger. # Some camcorders have a Refresh feature, which will automatically drain the initial charge on the battery. This allows the battery to fully recharge.
