Have your dealer check the computer, there may be a problem with the electronics, or, if the GSX-R has ride-by-wire, the throttle control program may be tweaked...or, just buy a Yamaha...Juuuust kidding...good luck fixing your ride.

1994 Saturn SL... Began putting while driving. Sluggish response to pedal. Now starts, revs to about 3000, then dies. Changed the ECTS, Cleaned the EGR... Still won't hold idle. HELP PLEASE!!!

Try cleaning the throttle valve and the idle speed control air bypass valve. Only use throttle valve spray cleaner and harsh abrasives, soak them and clean with the throttle valve with a soft cloth. Soak the idle speed control valve for an hour and then blow it out with compressed air.

I just bought a 2001 pontiac grand am se with 99890 miles. I would like to know what rpm is the proper shift point from first to second gear? Mine shifts at like 3000 to 3500 rpm and shifts firmly is that...

Hello, well at what rpm it shifts at of course depends on how hard your pressing the accelerator at that moment,if you floor the accelerator it will shift at higher rpm (red line) but if you take off very slowly it should shift at a much lower rpm....but to answer your question 3000-3500 is a good shifting rpm( if the gauge red lines at 6000-6500 rpm) and firm shifting is a good thing, slow, sluggish and hesitant shifting is a sign of bad things to come from a tranny!! ps keep the engine oil,and transmission oil changed for long life out of your car engine and tranny. good luck and enjoy your new car......yz-maniac.

My 1997 Chrysler Concord idles at 2500 to 3000 rpm when first started and when it warms a little it idles at 2000 rpm and stays there. When I start it right after I turn it off, it starts at 2500 rpm then...

Maybe a short to the TPS or something shorting it out. There's also the IAC that really controls the idle but usually it will cause the RPM's to go up and down a little erratic if bad. The MAF sensor can cause major problems as well but since you already swapped the TPS and it helped and then stopped I would focus on that sensor and especially it's wiring to and from the ECM. Be careful with the sensor signal wire to the ECM can blow it if more than 5v passes or spikes.

I have a 1992 GL1500A that suddenly lacks power on acceleration. When you give it the throttle it is sluggish until it reaches 3000 rpm.

hi,dont know if this will help but check your fuel filter and air filter, fuel filter is located beside the fuel filler cap and is an "inline" type and they are prone to blocking after a while...cheers

Power Loss at around 3000 rpm

are the carbs balanced correctly and are you sure that all of the jets are clean. if not try it, it might work. sluggish throttle response is normally to do with the carbs.
