Sounds like your starter relay. Follow the live cable from your battery and you should come across a relay with the wire in and a wire out. Turn your ignition on and short across the 2 terminals with a screwdriver and see if it tries to start. CAUTION: Only do this for a short time until it tries to fire or starts up and do not touch the frame with the screwdriver. If it tries to fire up or even starts, then replace this relay.

Oil change,suzuki gs 500e,1990

Use 10w40 motor oil. Any major brand; Pennzoil, Mobil, Shell, etc.
2.7 quarts w/o filter change.
3.1 quarts with filter change.
3.4 quarts if doing engine overhaul

I have a suzuki 160 atv 1989 it was running fine then just died will not turn over and looks as if it has not electric, yet I jump out the selinod and the quad starts and runs I am guess that a module went...

if you can short out the starter solenoid to start the engine there are only two possible causes. first a bad solenoid or a faulty ignition switch. check wiring from ign. switch to starter soelnoid

The diffrence between the GS 500

The difference between the E and standard model is the fairing and bodywork. the E will have more of the latter.
