Question about Honda CMX 250 Rebel Motorcycles
Just bought a 2006 Rebel, 7000 miles. The dealer explained it was a little touchy starting, and I may have to hit the ignition switch a few times before the motor catches. But it takes me 10-12 tries every morning (and sometimes in the afternoon) before it will turn over, no matter what position the choke is in. Is there any way for me to fix this?
Do the following check:
-colour of spark plugs, if it is wet then u may have too much petrol to it and alse check the gap.
-check ur filter and check the carbs. You may need to give it a good cleaning here..If this does not solve then go back to ur dealer, this bike has only 7000 miles and should not be doing this. Also note that most bikes need a bit of choke to start..so take this into consideration. Also a new spark plug could help..
