Question about 1984 Honda VF 750 S

Fuel assembly for a 84 V45 sabre

Where can I find a good example of the fuel assembly for a 1984 V45 sabre? Previous owner messed it all up and I cant see a way to hook up the tank to the carbs. Perhaps he had the wrong hard fuel lines between the carbs? The motorcycle type only lets me pick a VF 750 S, and I dont think that is what it is.

Yea, I did that, but the images there give multiple options and dont show how the fuel lines hook up to the carbs. Also, they dont look right. In the picture, #13 shows as 2 different sizes, but it obviously should be the same size. I was initially thinking that I needed 2 of #6 but I am really not sure.

The Clymers manual makes it look like its going to use the Fuel lines (upper left of the picture) that are marked with #25 and #36, which would imply that the 2 hoses plug into the hard lines between the carbs, and not in the carbs themselves. Currently what the guy had in there was 3 straight ones (2 mid size and one shorter) and then 2 T types (like #13) that then feed their T into the airbox, thus leaving nothing for the fuel lines to plug into. See my frustration?

Ok looking at the picture for the fuel tank theres 3 lines. One is the vacume line the turns the fuel valve on and the other two are the front bank and rear bank supply hoses, yes these hoses hook to the tee as you call it bewween the two carbsnearest to the intake manifolds. yes the front and rear bank will be the same size and the vacume line will be a little smaller. The vacume line may have a tee in the line as it may also go to a vacume motor on the air cleaner housing the works the antibackfire valve and i'ts in the aircleaner picture. The other tee crossbars are the vent lines and they have hoses that just go down in front of the rear wheel as to keep water out of the carbs and if they do overflow to let the gas out under the bike instead of on it. These lines are smaller still than the vacume line but they can be the same size just to bother you. The vent lines will blow though and the fuel ones don't if the carbs are full of gas. the vacume tube flows thogh good to the intake manifold and the bike won't run if it's not on. The fuel tank may have a Prime position and gas will come out of the fuel lines and not out of the vent.

Just changed fuel pump and now ....fuel leaking from carbs? cant seem to see where its coming from and it started after bike sat a while....any ideas?

Had a similar problem with a CB900 I left for a while, turned out to be the float needles had gummed up and did not seal properly which allowed fuel to overflow.

Misfire in #4 cylinder when cold fires when warms up 1994 honda v45 Magna

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a cursory reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition and leaking check for spark leakage in the dark
5. Spark plug gap too close or too wide.
6. Faulty ignition coil, module, and or sensor.
7. Loose, dirty, or corroded ignition module connector at crankcase.
8. Faulty CKP or CMP, MAP, ETS, ATS, TPS, O2 sensor.
9. Dirty air filter.
10. Intake air leak.
11. Water, dirt, or rust in the fuel system.
12. Carburetor contaminated, sticky float, plugged jets.
13. Carburetor vacuum diaphragm torn, cracked, not seated or installed improperly.
14. Multiple carburetors out of sync.
15. Fuel filter clogged.
16. Old or contaminated fuel.
17. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carb vent line closed off.
18. Gas cap diaphragm valve faulty.
19. Vacuum line from intake manifold to fuel valve is broken, cracked, pinched, or missing.
20. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
21. Incorrect valve timing.
22. Valve springs floating, weak, or broken.
23. Damaged intake or exhaust valve.
24. Incompatible performance parts.
25. Control module may be in "LIMP" mode
26. Check for engine trouble codes.
