Check to see if it is firingif it`s not firing it`s probably the coiland if it`s firing check to see if it`s easier to crank over than usual if so then there is no compression in which case u may have a big problem but i doubt that`s the problem 9 times out of ten when a bike wont start it`s the fire or maybe u forgot to turn the gas off and it`s flooded if u want to know if it`s flooded take out the spark pluge put a lighter by the hole and crank it over and u might be able to dry it out like that too

I have a ktm 250 sx 2-stroke. It has a new piston and new cylinder. bike ran great before it needed the repairs. Cranks on first kick. Run good but it leaks the pre-mix everytime i ride it and it won'

Where is it leaking from? If its leaking, that's more than likely why it doesn't run right, the fuel/air mixture is off. Also, I wouldn't continue to run it until the leak is fixed as it may damage the motor from not lubricating properly.

What is the top speed of a 2002 Honda CR250R 2 stroke?

The only figure I could find was 70 mph. But from all the research, what the bike is known for is power and reliability. It is also extremely strong and can take a tremendous pounding. It is right up there with the comparative Yamaha'sn Suziki's and the KTM. Good ,uck.

My 2006 ktm 250 sx-f smokes blue when i pull away

Is this a 4 or 2-stroke?
4-stroke = bad valve seals of piston rings
2-stroke = oil/gas ratio too 'oily' OR air filter clogged.

How much oils should i put in my ktm 250 sx 2 stroke 2003 model when i do a oil change?

2 stroke Mx bikes generally have(one or more of) four different methods of checking gearbox oil level.
The most common way to know is it is usually stamped on the clutch cover near the oil filler plug. It will read in CC's. 1cc equils 1ml. Sometimes they have an oil dipstick attatched to the filler plug. They have two lines on them. The bottom line is the lower level, the upper line is the full level.
The third style is an oil window situated at the bottom rear of the clutch cover, again with a high & low mark.
The fourth style is a bolt or screw on the clutch cover(with a alloy/copper/fibre washer behind it. For this type you remove the screw & fill thec gearbox untill oil starts to leak out of it with the bike upright.
Your bike will have one or more of these oil level checking systems.
If your totally unsure, ask your KTM dealer.
Hope this helps

07 KTM250exc 2 stroke wont start

Fuel becomes like a gel substance if the bike was not used for some time. There may be some gel blocking the main jet of your carburetor. If the gel formed in the tank, it may take a while to reach the carburetor. That may be why it operated without a problem for a while.

I want to get back into motocross and have been told that the 2006 KTM sx 250 is the bike to buy. Is this true

My honest opinion? (40 years of riding, three years of motocross, and 15 years of hare scrambles)
All bikes are good, KTM...Honda...Kawasaki...Yamaha...Suzuki
It really up to maintenance, rider ability, and of course a newer the bike doesn't hurt either.
Go with what you can get parts for, and you'll be able to work with.

2000 KTM 250 2 stroke. antifreeze coming out of over flow. what can be causing this?

could be a blockage in your cooling system or your bike is overheating. i would start by flushing the radiator and refill it with a mix of coolant and distilled water.
