Please take out your spark plugs and check their electrode condition. If they are black then you have a very rich mixture. That could be a faulty ignition spark (weak) or clogged airway in the air filter housing. Also check the carb's needles if they are adjustable in height, pute them in the middle scale. I believe when you were cleaning the carbs, you took out the pilot screw and the idle jet and cleaned that circuit thoroughly.
If they are white then your mixture is lean (probably your intake system sucks extra air from the intake collars where you plug the carbs on to the cylinder head or from the collars that connects the carbs to the air filter housing)

My 2000 rm250 has realy poor bottom end but real aggressive top end.. wot tweaks to the carb can i make to help the bottom end more powerfull

Move the clip on the jet needle downward. This effectively raises the needle so the low end gas supply begins sooner. Please rate my answer. tombones49_227.gif

Hi, Ctreadway7 and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition and leaking check for spark leakage in the dark
5. Spark plug gap too close or too wide.
6. Faulty ignition coil, module, and or sensor.
7. Loose, dirty, or corroded ignition module connector at crankcase.

Bike starts on choke and runs.Turn off choke engine will not tick over, any throttle and engine cuts out.any suggestions?

Very common problem, You will have to remove the carb.s and clean them. Gas dries and turns to varnish after 3-4 months, this dried gas clogs up the jets and ports in the carb.s. If you chose to do this your self there are adjustment screws on the bottom do not mess with these screws. Just clean the bowls and jets, clean one at the time so you do not mix up parts.

My 1981 suzuki will run with choke out but will die as soon as i give it gas. tried new gas and seafoam?

take your carbs off and clean them concentrating on the slow jets and the slow jet passageway through the carb body.
