Guys...problem!!!!! Hi..every1.. Am a resident of india... i bought a new HERO HONDA karizma 4months back...and when i was drivin the city..an indica (indian car) hit me on the silencer ...n i had a tibial fracture and its been 3months tat i dint see my love,my machine..but the before day when i saw it..i observed tat the handle was bent...the left buzzer light was broken..and there were some scratches on the left side of the body...the gear rod was little bent...all ths hpnd as it fell on its left!! And when i tried to start it...it became hell.. after about 50 kicks(USING CHOKE)..i gave up ..n nw am thinking to bring a mechanic to start it... ........plz ...motorcycle experts over here...by the above mentioned details.. plz tel me how much it would cost me to bring it bck to normal... n i`d also mention tat...its INSURED and...on the day of my accident ..my friends took the byk,drove it to my home...they said it was o.k...in a GOOD CONDITION...but it doesnt seem to be...plz guys help me...will it be back to the prfct condition?

Statiic for 3 months will be hell for the carb with fuel still in it, the fuel will start to congeal on the surfaces nd even clog the jets, you'll have to take the carb apart and clean it thoroughly. BTW bent foot levers can be bent back to their original place with the help of a vice.

1. Neutral light burnt out
2. Faulty neutral switch.
3. A loose bulb in the socket.

u need to hav igintion components tested--make sure battery is charged and alternator workin rite----proper spark is 1st priority--------then hav carburator ajusted-float level and jets------

Hi..every1.. Am a resident of india... i bought a new HERO HONDA karizma 4months back...and when i was drivin the city..an indica (indian car) hit me on the silencer ...n i had a tibial fracture...


All those damaged parts can be replaced and if you have a comprehensive insurance for it thn there should be no problem to put up a claim..it all depends how your systen works in your country.
To go to the starting issue... you will have to check for the sparks at the spark plugs and also check if the fuel is reaching the plugs.
Check at the carburator float bowel ....there must be a fuel drain screw ... set the petcock to'on' postion and unscrew the drain screw to see if fuel is enterng the carbs float chamber... if yes ..thn try to start it ......thn remove the spark plug and see if its wet with fuel.....at this point clean the spark plug and thn test it for sparks.....keeping in mind tht it should be dry of fuel to avoid fire hazard!
Thirdly ..to the cost of it to bring back to normality i guess you will have to get estimates from the dealers of the bike.
