There is a leak somewhere in the brake line...you are going to have to do a hand-over-hand trace of the brake line from the pedal (master cylinder) back to the caliper, find the leak, and replace the broken parts.

if you're using a pedal. the cat 6 wire that connects the pedal to the amp. can be coming out of the "phone jacks" that line 6 uses, all it takes is for that wire to stretch and if one line breaks . it changes the protocol. sounds like yours is intermittent. put new connectors on each end (after checking continuity),

see the steps and fix it. God bless you
Adjust the magnet with bolt attached there are loose, tight very well and ready the resistance is the main parts that need repair,
However if the resistance is faulty, you must test again the magnet from the refrigerator by attracting or repeled, if do not pass this test replace it buying small cheaping from home depot or similar.
GoD BLess you
  • 1 Check your owner's manual for diagrams and definitions. You'll need this information when you put the elliptical back together. You'll also want definitions in case you need to call the customer support line for assistance.
  • 2 Be aware that the resistance is often the part that requires repair. Resistance is managed magnetically, so often if the machine is working, but the resistance isn't setting correctly or at all, check the bolts that secure the magnets. If they are loose, the resistance will slip. If the bolts are fine, check the magnets themselves by using a refrigerator magnet and see if it is attracted or repelled by the your fridge magnet. If not, the magnets have de-magnetized and need to be replaced.

  • 3 Consider that if the foot pedals are attached with bolts, any slipping can be fixed with a quick use of the wrench. But if the foot pedals are damaged or breaking, order new foot pedals (see Resources below) rather than run the risk of a pedal breaking while you're on the machine.
  • 4 Check the hand bars. While not all people use them, as they can elevate your heart rate by up to 20 percent, they can become worn, too. While loose hand bars typically need a simple tightening of the bolt, be sure not to overtighten as the bolts can break.
  • 5 Know that if the axis is bent, it's likely you need a new machine. The axis is the central alignment of the elliptical. If the machine was used by a person who is over the maximum weight limit, it can be bent or damaged. It's not an easy fix and a better idea is to upgrade to a sturdier machine.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

Usually a suspension problem causes the detergent dispenser to break. A weak suspension strut socket strut & bushing Item 4 this link: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5169371&diagram_id=1327946#d1327946
will allow the tub to oscillate too much so the result is a broken detergent dispenser.
The procedure is on page 42 and 43 of this manual: http://www.appliance411.com/PDFdocs/16022808.pdf

Look at the picture of the rear strut on page 41 and ensure your rear struts are sitting in the mounts properly.

Rear struts are Item 7 this link: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5169371&diagram_id=1327945#d1327945

Lastly make sure the unit is level with none of the leveling legs allowed to float above the floor.

Once you solve the suspension problem you should no longer have beach dispenser breaking problems. Take some time and read the 1622808 manual (our Bible) above paying close attention to many of the notes from pages 40 - 45.

    Thanks for choosing FixYa,

    Kelly

Clutch pedal box has snapped off its mounting on vw polo

1-disconnect battery. 2- remove all lower dash plastic panels. 3- disconnect all plugs on steering coloumn. 4- remove shear bolts on steering coloumn, easy with a long 8" sharp chisel (get 2 x new shear bolts £0.50p each). 5-loosen & remove bolt at steering rack in drivers footwell, mark position of spline before removing this makes it east to refit (tipex). 6- pull steering coloumn out towards you & it will slide off the bush quite easy. 7- loosen clutch cable adjustment & remove cable nipple at pedal. 8-remove clutch pedal. 9- pull brake pedal out of plastic insert, this will break there is no way to remove this without breaking the plastic clip. get a new brake pedal clip insert for a Mk 3 golf £4 its the same (dont let VW sell you a new pedal) 10- remove 5 x nuts holding pedal box to bulkhead/brake servo. 11- cut 2 x cable ties holding throttle wiring & disconnetc plug above heater on drivers side. 12- push/pull brake servo slightly out of bulk head. 13- remove pedal box.
Cause of the problem- The clutch bracket is only held to the pedal box with 2 x spot welds & a 10mm tack on the top corner.
Repair- Fully Weld the clutch bracket to the pedal box. Great repair.
    refitting reverse of above.
Duration around 6/8 hours Less if you get the spare parts before you start.
I wasted time trying to remove the brake pedal without breaking the clip impossible to do even with theVW tool. £4 on a new clip is well worth it.

Don't know how to properly wind Elgin 400 day anniversary clock

Wind the clock until there is a sudden increase in resistance (it is then fully wound). So not apply a great force, as older clocks may be weaker and overloading the spring may break the termination and result in a new spring being required.

If you think it is becoming too stiff, just stop winding and see how long it runs for. I have often heard the term "over winding at clock" but have never quite understood the term. As a retired engineer I think that springs that break because of overenthusiastic winding are probably near the end of their life anyway.
