Question about 1989 Suzuki GSX-R 750 K

Hi i have just rebuilt the bike and can get it running but it goes between 3 and four cylinders then dies ad wont restart for a while almost like its flooding itself, also i get fuel leaking out of the back of the carb were you put filter on any ideas please

Sounds like u fucked up ptting it back together, check coils and spark to those cylinders before u rip it apart again

When i got the bike it wasnt running .it had no coils ,no plugs .iv bought new ones and need to know what lead goes were from waht coil .

The coil for the #1/4 spark plugs is mounted on the left side of the bike, and has the solid orange (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

The coil for the #2/3 spark plugs is mounted on the right side of the bike, and has the solid grey (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

I replaced plug wires: unfortunately i got mixed up : plug1, plug2, plug3 and plug 4 ; please show me where the wires must go to.

hi you dont say what model kawasaki you have im assuming you have a transverse four like a z1000 generally speaking as you sit on the bike the outer cylinders are 1 and 4 the inner cylinders are 2 and 3 ,now again im assuming you have two coils, each coil has two plug leads
coming out of them coil number one will serve cylinders 1 and 4 it doesnt matter which of these leads goes to either 1or 4 as bikes use a wasted spark system and will spark on the exhaust stroke as well, coil number 2 will serve cylinders 2 and 3 again it wont matter which plug lead goes to either 2or3 ok now for the tough part
you need to find the sparking point for no1 cylinder remove no1 spark plug probably the outer left cylinder as your sat on the bike and turn the engine over by putting the bike in gear (only do this with no plug leads connected as it could start unexpectedly in gear ) and push or bump the bike gently with the clutch out to bring the piston to the top of the bore a small torch would be handy for this to shine down the plug hole you then need to find a timing cover on the outside of the engine
you may need a service manual for this as there are many variations but usally there are two pick up modules one for each coil the timing marks correspond to each coil with cylinder 1 at the top of the bore the timing mark should be near number 1 pick up module now that you know which module number one is follow the wiring back to the coil ,each pick up wiring is a different colour like black and orange wires for one coil and black and green for another when you have found number one coil attach plug leads to it and fit them to cylinders 1 and 4 you then fit the remaining coil with plug leads to 2 and 3 cylinders refit the spark plug take the bike out of gear and go for a start good luck with this

1990 prelude wont run right acts like 2 dead cylenders pull the plug wire on 4 it dies 1 it dies 3 it runs weaker 2 nothing just nothing just changed the injector and still nuthing

do a compression test on all four cylinder to see if it has low compression. you may have a blown head gasket or burnt valve.

Honda XR125 L-4 3 month old battery, Bike has engine has started to die, exhaust goes pop (backfire?), engine cuts out all together, battery almost completely dead wont restart bike, starter just clicks...

put a volt meter across the battery terminals, should read over 12v stopped and rise to 13.5v with the engine running.
If the voltage doesnt rise there is a problem with the charging circuit.
Be carefull starting from a car, as this can cause damage to the bikes electrics, as the bike tries to produce enough amps to charge up the car when the bike starts, and overcook electrics.

Rebuilt all four carbs cleaned and replace needle and seat.Bike runs on choke at idle but will not excelerate,dies when you turn the throttle. feather the throttle past 3000 rpm and it will respond but...

the ajustment need to be set where they were originaly, needle position and mixture screw. the carbs are not suppling enofe fuel, was there any torn seals or diaphrams.

For and MC22, seated on the bike, the left hand ignition coil fires cylinders 1 & 4 while right hand ignition coil powers 2 & 3 cylinders.

Bike backfires,dies,restarts runs fine

your carbs are dirty. and probably need to be balanced also... bring the bike bto a garage and have them cleaned by a profesional.... also after market pipes don't give your bike the proper back pressure .. that can mess up your carbs timing
