Question about 2004 Suzuki DR-Z 400 S
In most cases snap rings have a washer between the gear and the ring to prevent the gear from running against the snap ring as it turns and gears on hardened shafts are not desined to float back and forth so if the washer will fit beteen the gear and the snap ring an keeeps everything snug then thats where it belongs just FYI a digital picture 3MP. or higher as you pull the bike apart will help lots with reassembly (saved me many times)
