2002 yz 125 when I put it in gear it will shut off acts like the clutch is not working when I adjust it on the handle bars it slips

Mechanical issue: clutch not disengaging completely...
engine off - put in gear and roll back and forth with clutch released does engine stop the bike from rolling? Now pull clutch lever in and try rolling again is clutch cable adjusted properly?
Electrical issue: bike thinks clutch is still engaged and kills motor when not in neutral
Is the clutch switch properly connected and working? Is it adjusted properly? Use a multimeter to read resistance across switch contacts does it change state when clutch is pulled in?

My first impression is the hubs are not engageing. Make sure that they are in fact working and haven't seized up or that you havent mis read the sign and in fact disengaged the hubs

Fourth gear not engaging

some possibilities are the syncro energise spring has come out and not spinning up the gear to allow engagement Prove by engageing and dis engaging with engine stopped and foot on clutch or the hub has been put in back to front or the selector fork has been fitted inncorrectly

Cant get clutch to engage after fiting new cable help please

the clutch may be stuck on. Put the bike in neutral, start the bike, run down the road looking like a fool jumping on and off the bike to kick it into 2nd gear and pumping clutch lever. Clutch should be free.

It might also be worth checking if your pushrod has a ball bearing in the end, I had one on mine, replace the clutch plates and it wouldn't work with the ball bearing in :)

My 2003 toyota corolla wont start, the starter turns but it wont engage the flywheel, only occasionaly. I checked the ground and the cable going to the starter. No voltage drops, solid connections. This...

Sounds like a bad starter drive gear. The gear has a one way clutch so that it does not over-spin when the engine starts. When the clutch is bad it slips in both directions. Rebuilt starters can be anything from excellent to bone-yard fresh junk, depending on the remanufacturer. You should be able to get just the starter drive and install it; but buy from a reputable parts store, not a bargain center like Auto Zone etc.

Just started to get hard to change gears. I havent looked at anything yet but thought some as to where to start would be good. Cheers Shane

Try adjusting the clutch. With the engine off put it in low, pull the clutch in
and insure it rolls as easily as it does when in neutral. simple test

Engine stalls when electric PTO clutch is engaged

check your spacers to be sure you havent locked the clutch assembly directly to the motor shaft
you should be able to turn it fairly free less some clutch drag
