You probably have a stuck float in one of your carburetors. Sometimes, rapping on the float bowl with a screwdriver handle or similar tool will knock it loose. Sometimes, you just have to bite the bulle and pull the float bowl off.

System wont ignite. chgd filter & batteries in thermostat

Does the igniter get hot? If it does, then there is a problem with the gas control, that is, the gas won't come on for some reason. Generally, the gas won't come on if the igniter fails (for safety reasons), so are you sure there is gas flowing? You would hear the cycle start, that is the lighter, and even air flow, but if the gas doesn't come on during that time, the system shuts down in a few seconds.

No gas flow out of pitcock when in on postion why

MOst bikes have a vacuum operated petcock that will only flow gas when the bike is started. They also usually have a "prime" position that will allow gas to flow at all times. Check to see if you have these positions. Also, never leave the petcock in "prime" position as the gas keeps flowing and you could wind up with gas flowing into the cylinder which could seriously damage the motor when you try to start it.

I have a toro super cycler gts 5 model 20475 6.0 engine i put new gas in it a new spark plug but if i loosen the gas bowl no gas come out and it wont start what could be wrong

Ensure fresh gas is in tank. Follow gas line from tank to carb. Have locking pliers ready to pinch off gas line or close gas line valve. Remove gas line from carb. observe gas flow to carb. Remove carb bowl from bottom of carb. Attach gas line to carb. Does gas flow to carb. Observe float, float down gas flows, float up no gas flow. If float is bad replace float assembly or carb. Remove float mounting pin and needle metering valve. Use a bread wrapper pealed back an inch so thin wire can clean out port of meter needle. Use wire to clean out center port. Observe bowl screw look for hole thru screw, clean out with wire if preset. Re-assemble carb. Clean replace air filter. Fill oil. 30w. Prime motor, pull rope 10 times to start. No start, replace carb.

I,m unable to start the grill. new gas bottle, every thing attached. It seems like there is no gas flow as I can't even start with a match. Can the gs regulator get stuck so there is no flow?

Hi ircatlin...

ONLY TO THE FOLLOWING IN AN OPEN AREA AWAY FROM FLAMES/FIRE/IGNITION SOURCES.
To answer your question if the gas regulator can get stuck...the answer is YES.

Check to make sure gas is getting thru the regulator...to do this disconnect the hose going to the burner controls...turn on the gas at the tank and listen and smell for gas coming out...if there is no gas coming out, you can sometimes tap lightly the gas regulator and it will free the sticking valve inside and let the gas flow...if the tapping does not work, the replace your regulator as it is faulty.

Starts but won't stay running, i clean carburator and still have same problem, unit has been used very little, still look new, Thanks,

Have you checked your oil? You need pump oil half way up in reservoir. Open plug on top of pump and check oil. Pump takes SAE 20 or 30

Next, open oil plug below engine and check your oil level. It should come up 1/2 way on dip stick. Engine takes 10W30. Don't turn washer on its side or upside down to drain oil or oil will run into carburetor.

Is the water turned on? Are you holding gun trigger open while starting? Pump needs water flow. DO NOT tie gun trigger open with wire and then start engine. That gun will flip around and shoot a hole in your leg.

If the engine starts, then you have gas, spark and compression

If engine won't stay running, the exhaust port might be clogged, or the carburetor is not letting in enough gas, or gas is not flowing to carburetor.

Check the screen over exhaust port > is it dirty or clogged? Clean with WD-40 or break it out with a screwdriver.
Remove gas filter below gas tank >>> it has a hex bolt >> loosen bolt >> the gas should come flowing out >> put it back if gas comes out
Next remove rubber gas line feeding gas to carburetor >> gas should flow out this line too >> if flows then put it back.

What about your air filter? Take it off. See if engine fires and runs without air filter. Air filter may be clogged.

While air filter is out, you can see open port to carburetor. Spray some WD-40 into carburetor. Fire up the engine. It should spark real healthy on the WD-40. Keep spraying WD-40 into carburetor to see if you can keep engine going. Don't forget to keep gun trigger open so water is flowing and pressure is not building in pump.

If engine keeps going with WD-40 but dies without it, then your carburetor is very suspect. You might need a new one.

If engine will not keep going with WD-40, then the spark is very suspect.

Change spark plug. Try again. If it doesn't fire up after that, you need to take it to the shop for repair.

Gas LG dryer works fine, but heat wont stay on more than a minute. then if i try to start it again, the heat wont come on at all. if i wait a few hours, then the same things happens again. heat comes on,...

First, check to see if there is strong air flow out the house at the exterior dryer vent. It is very important to have good air flow for gas dryers. Second, if you do have good air flow and you do get ignition but the burner shuts down quickly and won't relight, the most likely cause is the coils on the gas valve. They heat up when current passes through them and can open up electrically. When they cool down, the process can repeat. The coils for LG gas valves are not available as separate parts. You have to order a complete gas valve, but you can then take the coils off the new valve and swap them out onto the original valve so you don't have to change out the entire valve. If you need instructions on how to get at the gas valve, let me know (with your model number).

Remember, check your air flow first !
Please rate this solution once you have completed your repair. Thanks.

Needle and seat are stuck closed

drain the old gas out put some new gas in the tank and turn the fuel petcock to PRI or ON and check that there is a flow of clean gas to the carbs. Tanks that are badly rusted will require a filter in the gas line to the carbs. If not see the Gas Tank Page. If the gas starts to come out the carb over flow tube(s) tap the carbs gently but sharply with a plastic hammer or the plastic end of a screwdriver. Do this to each carb several times or until the gas over flow stops. If it does not stop you will have to take the carbs apart and find out why the fuel valve (needle and seat) is not working. See the Carb page. If it will not start, try to drain the fuel out of the carb with the float bowel drain screw. If nothing comes out, nothing is going in ! In other words the needle and seat are stuck closed. Again, if tapping the carb doesn't start the gas flow, take the carb apart to find out wh,,,
