Press SELECT until your odometer reading is displayed.
Press SELECT and hold then immediately press ADJUST and hold it as well.
Keep holding both and your miles should switch to kilometers.
If it does not and your timing is ok, try pushing ADJUST first, holding, and pressing SELECT second, holding both until it changes.

Sounds like a short somewhere, possible headlight bulb? there is a main breaker on those bikes, usually close to the battery. Some are self resetting, some manual

I have been told this is the "dealer mode" and it might clear if you the bike off then turn the
key back to the on position, but don't start the bike, turn it off then
start the bike. this is supposed to reset the FI light.
To find out why it has brought this light up in the first place might require you actually taking it to a dealer, but there are lots of forums and info on this bike on the web

there might not be any fluid left in the battery i suggest replacing it..another possibility is there is a short somewhere on the bikes wiring
