I have a 2002 husky 360 100 year anaverary model and someone has welded a automatic decompression in the head now it keep blowing a hole in the piston.WHY

Hi, Brad I'm not sure why someone would weld a decompression unit in the head unless the threads were bad and it was leaking, if it's faulty it could be sucking air and create a hot spot (you may want to do a compression check) or the heat range on your spark plug is too hot/high or you have a pre-ignition issue.

How change piston rings in yamaha 250

2 or 4 stroke mate, if 4 stroke harder job, but once head off and barrel removed, you need to hone or glaze bust the bore for new rings to bed in, then make sure cleand out, jet wash it and wd 40 it, remove rings from piston and carefully fit new, it might be a good idea to file a sligth bit of the sharp inside edge of new rings, not oil control one, just comp and scraper.

MY HUSKY HS781003AJ WONT SHUT OFF

Oil-less air compressor will not shut off if cut off pressure can not be obtained due to worn cyl/ring or leaking fittings. Check for leaks with soapy water and repair as needed. If no leaks then assume that the cylinder and ring is worn. Easy to check with cover removed, turn motor by hand until the piston is at top. Inspect the cylinder just behind the piston for wear. If scratched, air pressure is leaking past the vinyl ring and needs to be replaced. Good luck.

I have 2002 dr z 250 can the cylinder be bored out, or do just replace with new.

Yes the cylinder can be bored, BUT, it would be sent to a company in California for the work. The cylinder has a nickel plated surface that will be destroyed by the bore job. After the boring is done they re-plate the cylinder and send back a new oversize piston and rings along with the re-plated cylinder. The cost is around $400. It will take about 3 weeks to get the cylinder back.

A brand new cylinder will cost around $420, piston $48 and rings $35 for a total of just over $500. The time needed will be depending on whether or not your dealer has the parts on hand. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Piston seizure in Husky 359 chain saw-how to remove old top end, evaluate damage and install new piston and ring or all new top end.

Probably going to be a paired piston&cylinder http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUSQVARNA-359-357-CYLINDER-AND-PISTON-KIT-47MM-/140580138020
you will need to replace both.. remove your muffler and see scorched(black streaks) piston, fused rings. Remove air filter and carb to see scored cylinder wall(on hot side)

Oil blowing from breather pipe Honda 250

Take out engine Strip down and replace the Piston rings and check bore if got a ridge in it where the top ring stops then rebore it and fit new oversize rings
If worn bad then also new piston as well thats the only way to stop the oil from coming out of the Breather and give you back the power you lost ..
Easy done so do it and enjoy riding the Buggy
