Question about kawasaki Z 750 Motorcycles

1 Answer

Will Kawasaki USA manufactured fairing parts fit my GPz 750 A3 (uk) model machine? I am trying to rebuild the above 1985 m/cycle,but cannot locate fairing parts required other than from USA source. I strongly suspect that the parts are USA manufacture for the american version of the above machine. I do not wish to pay big dollars for the 'wrong' bits. The supplier is unable to confirm if their parts will fit my machine. Can you help ...please!

Kawasaki gpz 750 won't start and only makes a

hey bud, i know this might be a bit late but sounds like the starter chain tensioner has failed and the gears have vbeen stripped. dont try to start thebike. take the clutch casing off, and that chain and sprocket assembly infront of u is the offending part. google a guy called andy bennett for a manual chain tensioner. replace thes parts with zzr1100 parts as they are stronger. once youve researched and done all that. take the sump off and give it a bloody good clean. then re-assemble and away u go. u can do all this without taking the engine out the chassis. exhaust off, oil cooler off, radiator off. hope this helps. feel free to cantact me. kiltednutter (facebook)

Get the manufacturers original replacement part for best results. Any imitations will cause you grief ... up to and including leaving you stranded out in the middle of no where at the very worst time.

But it will affect how well it idles and reduce your torque due to a lack of back pressure.

Engine will not start, carbs cleaned, but will not fire, no petrol

Check the carb diaphrams for any tears/pinholes? (They are on the top of the carbs) Have you reconnected the breather from the tank? Is fuel getting past fuel tap? Sometimes the vent in the fuel cap can get blocked with crud and create a vacuum which stops fuel flowing.
