Did you add gas additive and run motor prior to storage? If not Gum in carb could be the problem. If it won't kick over it's either gas or spark.Make sure the battery is fully charged,I have used starting fluid to start hard to start bikes with good results.Use Caution Read Directions.Good Luck

2000 harley road king will not start, new battery, drained and refill fuel tank, engine light comes on for 4 seconds and hear fuel pump run, cranks over good but no start, has not run for 2 years.

Hi, i would work from here. Check the spark plugs, the plug wires, and the coil. Those hardly go bad, so it's possible that something is not allowing the coil to fire.

Put a new battery in a 2005 Road king and it is draining the amps and killing the battery. the voltage regulator is good and the starter is good and the battery is brand new.

Is it draining the battery when parked up or riding with the lights on? If it is with the lights on and riding, check the altenator if when parked up check if there is a wiring problem or a faulty alarm if fitted.

My harley davidson road king keeps cutting out like its running out of gas or vapor locking any ideas?

I had the same problem on my 06' (Fuel injected). It was the copper filament inside one of the wire going to the injectors. It took 3 visits to the dealer and 4 hours of investigation to find it.

4 yr old fuel in 96 road king with fuel injection

Hi, Take the hose off at the petcock. There is a wire clamp on hose from the valve that comes from the tank. The petcock valve is the one that has the on/off/reserve. If you have a fuel canister with a spout, turn the petcock to the off position, take off the clamp and hose and put the canister spout up to the fitting and turn the petcock to the reserve position to drain the fuel. If it was not previously in the off position you will need to disassemble and clean the carbs and change the fuel filter. Good Luck to you, this should answer the question you asked, if you need additional help please ask.
